Matariki at our K Road Store ✨ We joined in on the Matariki celebrations with the Karangahape Road Business Association by creating a special window installation and a limited edition printed tote. This year's theme, ‘Looking to the Future’ (Matariki Tiro Whakamua), is captured in the artwork ‘Kotahitanga a Matariki’ by Jadyn Flavell, a Māori artist who drew inspiration from the relationship of the star cluster and time. Textile Recycling with ImpacTex NZ ♻️ Following the success of the ImpacTex NZ bin in our Ponsonby store, we have now expanded the initiative to all of our Auckland stores. Since June 2023, we have collected 395kg of textile waste in the ImpacTex bin in our Ponsonby store alone! Our goal together with ImpacTex NZ is to aid in a circular economy and reduce the environmental impact the fashion and textile industry has on the planet seeing an abundance of resources going to waste every year. The recycled textile waste becomes a product called RETEX which is a sheet of shredded and re-bonded textile waste that can replace a wide variety of conventional materials such as acoustic panelling or decorative panelling.
