Just grabbing a selfie (well at least half of my face anyway) with my amazing new friends in Malaysia! 🇲🇾 Shoutout to the fantastic team at BP Andres Ho and Allison, as well as Stephanie Leong from CelecomDigi, and a huge special mention to the Malaysian Minister of Digital Gobind Singh Deo. It’s been incredibly inspiring to witness the strong corporate dedication to increasing diversity and inclusion in tech, along with hearing about all the progress happening in the digital sector here. From corporate programs supporting startups and women in tech to government agencies working hard to bridge the gap between policy and innovation, it’s clear that Malaysia is taking positive steps. Their commitment to empowering women and girls in STEM is exciting. With ambitious goals in ESG reporting and reducing scope 3 emissions, Malaysia is quickly proving to be an exciting market for us at CiRCLR. I’m excited to see how we can collaborate and contribute! Saya berharap akan kembali tidak lama!! #diversityintech #womenintech #STEM #digitaltransformation #ESG #scope3emissions #sustainability #greentech #newmarket

I had to look several times at this to make sure it was real. I’m still pinching myself. Earlier this year we were introduced to the WOMEN IN TECH ® Global group in France and my world instantly opened up. As a founder based in regional Northland, New Zealand I’ve had big ambitions to create more sustainable outcomes globally. We focus on responsible sourcing and making it easier to scale production of traceable circular products. An issue I encountered at a global scale while living in China. I feel incredibly privileged to be apart of this amazing line up of women in green tech from all over the APAC region! I am really proud of the work and growth we have made in the few short years since we founded CiRCLR , it’s an entire community effort. Being a finalist of this award makes me feel like I’m not completely crazy or perhaps I’m just crazy enough… or maybe it tells us it’s time to ramp up the crazy? Regardless I just feel so stoked and grateful. Te Taumata Chris Saunders Callaghan Innovation WOMEN IN TECH ® Global Women in Tech® Malaysia CiRCLR

🌿 What exactly are Scope 3 emissions, and why do they matter? 🌿 When it comes to carbon footprints, Scope 3 emissions often steal the spotlight. But what are they, and why are they crucial for sustainability? Scope 3 emissions are the indirect greenhouse gas emissions that occur in a company’s value chain. This includes everything from the production of purchased goods and services, to waste disposal, and even employee travel. In fact, Scope 3 emissions can account for up to 70% of a company’s total carbon footprint! Here's why they matter: - By addressing Scope 3 emissions, companies can make significant strides in reducing their overall environmental impact. - Increasingly, regulations are requiring businesses to disclose and manage their Scope 3 emissions. -Unlock new opportunities and efficiencies by understanding your scope 3 emissions from waste. Leading to new revenue streams or cost savings in a circular economy. - Transparent supply chains can enhance a company’s reputation and provide a competitive advantage. By fully understanding and disclosing the environmental impact of every step in the supply chain, companies can implement targeted strategies to reduce their carbon footprint and increase business. At CiRCLR, we're committed to making supply chain transparency not just a buzzword but a reality. We help shed light on these indirect emissions, so more businesses can make informed decisions, reduce their carbon footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future. #Sustainability #SupplyChainTransparency #Scope3Emissions #EcoFriendly #GreenBusiness #ClimateAction

Can you spot our founder Sara Smeath? France had so much to offer NZ startups, and it was a privilege to be part of the first cohort of wahine Māori in tech exploring opportunities through our EU free trade agreement with Te Taumata and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade . Paris pulled out all the glitz and glam for new tech opportunities, offering abundant funding, strategic European access, pro-business support, and a high quality of life. The French tech scene is booming with initiatives like La French Tech, providing a supportive ecosystem for innovation and growth. Paris alone hosts one of the world's largest startup campuses, STATION F , and the government’s commitment to R&D is paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in #AI, #biotech, and #sustainability. If the shiny lights of the Eiffel Tower don’t get you, the tech industry might! For us at CiRCLR exporting to France and the EU also means being closer to the #policy #regulations we follow in our #reporting. We align with many #corporate #strategies in this #market, and their #progressive sustainability motives resonate with our #circulareconomy goals. The opportunity to be in France enhances our ability to collaborate on cutting-edge projects and stay ahead in sustainable innovation.
