The 2025 Fonterra Dairy Woman of the Year will receive a scholarship to the Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme, but what is the programme? The Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme is for farmers, foresters, fishers, growers and agribusiness professionals who have a desire to contribute to their rural community, Food and Fibre production, processing or profession. So why should you get involved? You'll be exposed to industry leaders and gain leadership tools and skills that you'll be able to apply to your team/business. You'll gain a greater understanding of the political and economic environment, and will have the opportunity to explore and present a project of your choice. You'll then graduate from a highly respected industry leadership programme. It’s been a whirlwind on the farm, but Milking It farmer Addie shares some exciting updates in this week’s blog! ✨ Mating is officially finished, and they’ve transitioned to once-a-day milking (OAD), which has been a hit with both the cows and the team. Addie also reflects on finding a better work/life balance, wrapping up crop paddocks, and making the most of milk payout increases despite a tough spring.
