While we're wrapping up another year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our incredible customers, suppliers, and, of course, our hard working Green Gorilla team. This year has brought its share of challenges, but together, we’ve continued to push forward and make a real difference. As we approach the holiday season, we’re reaching out to our customers to ensure that collection services remain seamless over the break. While many of us enjoy a well-deserved rest, our recycling team will be hard at work over Christmas to ensure waste removal stays hassle-free. To everyone enjoying a break – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And for those working through, I hope the holiday season is fruitful for you. Finally, to our amazing staff – a huge THANK YOU! Your dedication and commitment are what make it all possible. We truly couldn’t do it without you. Let’s continue to lead the way in our mission to keep New Zealand green in the year ahead! Warm regards, Elaine, CEO of Green Gorilla

A huge thank you to Huntly Library and Upskills for their incredible support during our recent Green Gorilla Waikato training session. The venue was perfect, and the facilitation by Upskills played a crucial role in helping our team thrive. Tira one of the participants shared some kind words: "A big shout-out to Elaine and Samantha for their support, along with Alan and Rachel. But most of all, a heartfelt thank you to our beautiful tutor, Julia from Upskills. She’s a remarkable woman who brings out the best in everyone." We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate for this training and look forward to more successful sessions ahead! #GreenGorillaNZ #Waikato #Huntly #Waikatolibraries #TeamTraining #CommunitySupport #Gratitude #Upskills

Today, we bid farewell to one of our most knowledgeable and passionate colleagues and friends, Clinton Jones. For over 35 years, he dedicated his talent, time, and energy to the waste and recycling industry, making the world a better place. Clinton has been an integral member of the Green Gorilla team since its inception in 2010, and his contributions to our growth have been outstanding. Clinton was not only a rare and exceptionally knowledgeable industry expert but also a fantastic person—approachable, humble, easy to talk to, and always ready with a good joke. In recent months, Clinton bravely battled cancer and is now at rest. His own words reflect his personality best: “...We realise these are not advantages we can sit back and take for granted, but ones we have to earn daily through hard work, enterprise, and innovation. <...> And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why I can’t wait to get up and cracking every morning to make a daily planet-saving difference...” We are endlessly grateful for everything Clinton has done for us over the years. He was truly one of a kind and will always be remembered as a genuine inspiration to us all.

Take a sneak peek at the operations at our Drury Transfer Station! Our partner, Ecotricity NZ, has masterfully crafted a video that highlights the unique features of our fully electric facility. This includes a comprehensive view of the public tipping area and a detailed look at the commercial operations. The best part? The entire place is powered by renewable electricity, which reduces noise and pollution. This is what we call eco-friendly, clean technology.
