At How.io we're very focused on making things easier to understand for those who don't like reading the manual. Augmented Reality (AR) is a great tool for bringing simulations to life. You can use 3D models from your CAD or other tools to create realistic simulations. Components can be made interactive and you can annotate and highlight features as well as provide step by step instructions so the learner can move around the model and see the steps they need to take. #spatiallearning #ar #practice #3Dmodels

About us
Build confidence and capability in your customer and partner ecosystems. Practical training initiatives to drive product adoption and enable your networks. Who reads the manual these days? Training needs to be realistic, relevant and focused. We're here to make both software and hardware products easier to understand for the people who work with them - delivering the right learning, to the right people, at the right time. We're focused on external audiences. Most learning systems are great for internal employees who can be mandated. Getting external audiences to complete learning activities requires a different approach. We use marketing techniques to help learners recognize gaps in their knowledge and make relevant training very easy to access. How.io is a practical education platform designed to help you engage and educate hard-to-reach audiences. It includes simple but sophisticated authoring tools to create how-to videos, interactive tutorials and 3D simulations. You can also create interactive scenarios and assessments for practicing and identifying knowledge gaps. We have a powerful workflow editor that enables you to automate learning campaigns, certification programs and other customised training requirements. You can integrate how.io with your website for tutorials, education and an academy to help customers, installers, operators, dealers and any other partner develop their skills.

Learning campaigns are a great way to engage learners outside the LMS and break up courses into snackable modules delivered over time. This article outlines some strategies around using learning campaigns to build capabilities and confidence in targeted external audiences. #learningcampaigns #confidence #capabilities #externalaudiences

One of the best ways we've found to keep people engaged in #learningcampaigns is to borrow from soap operas. Develop characters the learner can connect with and treat each module like an episode with an overlapping storyline. Using the characters in the nudge instantly reminds the learner why they should care and cliff hangers help them look forward to the next installment. #instalearning #shortlandstreet #NotinGuatemalaNowDoctorRopata.

You can also use how.io for educating customers, partners and employees on how to work with software and online platforms. For example, our own help guides are created as interactive modules. They're responsive on mobile, accessible and easy to create with step-by-step instructions, annotations and zooms into areas of focus. You can also add menus and scenarios for learners to practice common use cases with various platforms. Do you use branching scenarios in training simulations? They're a great way for learners to practice dealing with different situations. In this example from a series produced by Jared Eagar, you are a manager who is new to the role and facing difficulties from an employee who doesn't seem to want to do their job. Practice what you would say to this person to encourage them to take their role seriously. Do you try being very friendly or do you take a more assertive approach? Check out the example here: https://lnkd.in/gMFY5RZF #instalearning #branchingscenarios #interactivevideo

Situational awareness training and simulations are a great use for 360 images. Using real life environments to simulate risks and hazards. Here you can add hotspots for learners to identify potential risks. You can also animate the viewpoint to point out things they may have missed. #instalearning #360photography #situationalawareness #passwordsecurity

If you want to use 3D models in online training, you have a few options. Sometimes suppliers can provide you with 3D models or the equipment you use. You can also use photogrammetry to create 3D models. This video has both examples. We compress the models on the platform so they load quickly on both desktop and mobile. In the future we plan to animate the components and allow you to turn elements on and off - i.e. if you want to remove a cover to show details. 3D models are best used as part of narrative. They can also be interactive with hotspots and selectable components. #instalearning #3dmodels #learningthatfeelsreal #installertraining
