In 1840 a Treaty was signed by the sovereign nations of Aotearoa and the British Crown. The Act Party seeks to change the terms of that Treaty unilaterally, without consent from the parties who signed it. We have identified six reasons that the Bill should not proceed any further and invite all New Zealanders to gain the historical and political context needed to write a submission against the negative impacts of the Bill.

We had the privilege of working with Hemi Kelly on developing a name for Rau Paenga, who deliver infrastructure across Aotearoa New Zealand. Rau speaks to the many spaces that will be created, the many partnerships with iwi and community, the many aspirations that bring communities together. Paenga is a space dedicated for the building of a structure. While the current government wants to remove te reo Māori from our public institutions, we wanted to reinforce that te reo māori should resonate in all our spaces, for all New Zealanders. Animation by Storm Smith and Levi Singsam. Cultural Strategy and Narrative by Johnson Mckay and te reo Māori expertise by Hemi Kelly.
