Today we celebrated our very own co-founder Nadia Lim in the My Food Bag Development Kitchen. Nadia, along with her husband and My Food Bag co-founder Carlos Bagrie were both made officers of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the New Year Honours list - Carlos for services to the food and rural industries, and Nadia for services to the food industry. We are delighted to see Nadia & Carlos recognised for their commitment to helping Aotearoa, New Zealand eat and live well and are proud to have been part of their incredible journey. This is a testament to their amazing work promoting health, sustainability, and community. Nadia & Carlos - thank you for inspiring us to be happier and healthier through your culinary accomplishments and for your unwavering commitment to making the world a better place through food and community. Last week My Food Bag celebrated the instrumental role of our Kiwi suppliers at our inaugural Supplier Awards. The event brought together our co-founder Nadia Lim, the My Food Bag leadership team, and finalists from three award categories - Quality, Service and Innovation Excellence. Mark Winter highlighted the vital role all of My Food Bag’s suppliers have played since My Food Bag's founding in 2013, all navigating tight timelines to enable the delivery of fresh local products, and simple, healthy and delicious meal kits to thousands of Kiwi homes each week. 🏆 In the Quality Excellence category, the spotlight was on finalists Moana New Zealand, Mega Foods, and Health Pak - with Health Pak claiming the award. 🏆 The Service Excellence award finalists included Blue Star New Zealand, NZ Post and Neat Meat Global, with NZ Post taking the win. 🏆 In the Innovation Excellence category, the finalists were Wild Wheat, Loft Food Co and MANLY PARK KITCHEN LIMITED, with Loft Food Co. winning this award. This year, we have five different menus to choose from, each featuring premium local ingredients, mouthwatering recipes and easy-to-follow instructions. We're excited to introduce more flexibility for our foodies, offering the ability to choose which 2 proteins they'd like in the large My Classic Christmas Bag. We're also bringing back our My Vegan Christmas due to popular demand, and a Gourmet option for something a little less traditional (and a bit fancy!). Plus, our more affordable Bargain Box option.
