Recently, we were thrilled to take a group of tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau to Rangitoto Island as part of Sport Auckland’s Active Families program. A massive congratulations to everyone who took part, especially those who pushed themselves up the 260m summit. It was a demanding walk, but a brilliant day on the island and great to see so many smiles at the top! Getting there and back on the ferry was half the fun, with dolphins putting on a show in the Gulf. We look forward to doing it again soon. 🐬 ⛴ #activefamilies #sportauckland #rangitotoisland

Remember that 'free range' childhood you had? Went home when you were hungry or when the street lights went on?! Take the time to let tamariki explore and grow through play, give them the time, space and permission to just be kids and watch the joy on their faces.

Is working with tamariki a passion of yours? Are you comfortable and confident to organise school cluster and sports events? Our incumbent, who has done a sterling job, is leaving us to take up a scholarship in the USA.
