Last week, the TCL Hunt team proudly participated in Operation Clean-Up Week 2024, organised by Plastics New Zealand 🌿 It was eye-opening to witness the accumulation of plastic and debris in our beautiful spaces, yet incredibly heartening to see so many volunteers unite to tackle the issue and make our environment greener. Operation Clean Sweep – TCL Hunt TCL Hunt is proud to announce that it has completed the audit requirements for certification to the internationally recognised Operation Clean Sweep. We undertook a programme of installing fine mesh filters into the external stormwater drain catchments within our premises. In addition a monthly check and cleaning schedule has been established to ensure that these filters remain in optimal working order and will serve the purpose they were designed for. TCL Hunt was asked to participate in the development of a series of short videos aimed at promoting OCS within the Plastics Industry of New Zealand. Through our involvement, a positive spin-off is a clearer understanding from our staff of the importance of preventing contamination of water-ways. Plastics New Zealand will use these videos as an education tool for all of its members and the wider community. Environmental concerns are very much in line with our ISO14001 certification and the core principles of Ravago as stated in their sustainability pledge. We will endeavour to build on this achievement with additional initiatives to minimise our impact on the environment. Today, the DriSpace team had the privilege of joining a clean-up event, where a group of passionate individuals came together to tackle litter and plastic waste in our environment. It was both eye-opening and rewarding to see how small actions can make a big impact, all whilst having a bit of fun along the way. By working together, we managed to clear a significant amount of rubbish, and more importantly, we raised awareness about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and sustainable. Every piece of rubbish we picked up represented a step toward a cleaner, healthier planet. This experience reminded me that change starts with each of us. Whether it's taking part in a clean-up, making conscious decisions in our daily lives, or simply encouraging others to do the same, we all have a role to play in protecting our environment. #CommunityAction #Sustainability #EnvironmentalImpact #Operationcleansweep #Cleanupweek2024
