It's been great for our UCL team to have been involved in the 1st of the RONs projects. Tony Harrison was involved as a technical advisor in the high level scoping and workshops earlier this year and Aaron Campion undertaking economics. He is also the Engineer to Contract on the enabling works working with Brylee Thomson from WSP in New Zealand , Regan Leahy from Fulton Hogan and Jacob Laird from NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. Sam Green has been leading our design team designing elements of the enabling works. Great to have so many capable local people working on this exciting project.
It’s all go preparing the four laning of our Hawke’s Bay Expressway for construction! Amazing to have our Transport Minister Simeon Brown here this morning to see our first Road of National Significance progressing! We are a Government of action and delivery and it’s so exciting to see the Four Lane Expressway happening! It’s a significant project that will create thousands of jobs for our region and strengthen our local economy.
