Last week we were a proud sponsor of the NZ Men's and Women's Interprovincials Golf Tournament at Russley Golf Club in Christchurch. Being in the sustainable waste management industry, we find ourselves in all corners of our communities. This spot in the sun wasn't too bad!

A real privilege to celebrate the Deloitte Fast 50 awards event last week alongside some inspiring and innovative Christchurch companies. Our Chief Sales Officer, Luke Brown, enjoyed getting to know the people who are driving Tuatara Structures and Growcott Freer Property to be leaders in their industries. Congratulations to all - (L-R) Vaughan Ellis, Ben Halsey, Isaac Freer, Nicholas Growcott, Luke Brown, Ryley Drake and Bronwyn Baird.

Great news today for WasteCo. As a listed company we announced to the market this morning that we are expanding our commercial operations into the North Island through a conditional acquisition of Auckland-based waste management company Civic Waste Limited. We have entered into a conditional agreement to acquire 100% of the shares on issue of Civic Waste Ltd for $9 million, together with an earn-out component based on achieving financial performance milestones during the following 12 months. This acquisition will provide WasteCo with an expanded geographic footprint and additional operational scale, contributing approximately NZD $20 million in revenue over the next 12 months. We are also pleased to share that WasteCo has entered into a conditional subscription agreement with Empire Waste Technology Ltd in respect of the issue of $15 million of convertible notes. Empire Waste Technology is part of Simon and Paula Herbert’s Empire Capital group of companies. You can learn more about the details of this announcement here https://lnkd.in/g-aV4Z4R

A real honour to be placed second on the 2024 Deloitte Master of Growth Index - this spot has been earned through revenue growth of 467% over the past 5 years. We’re also proud to receive the 29th placing on the Fast 50 Index, which measures revenue growth over the past 3 years. It is a privilege to receive these recognitions, and we extend an enormous thank you to our staff across the South Island who put in the hard work on the ground. Without our efficient and diligent teams, and committed customers, this growth would not be possible. Luke Brown, Chief Sales Officer, represented the WasteCo team last night at the awards in Auckland. It was wonderful to connect with other category winners and companies listed in the index. Congratulations to all involved, especially Devoli taking out the top spot of the Master of Growth Index - see the full index here https://lnkd.in/gGqr8C9x
