A hearty local lunch followed, energizing me for the rest of the day. By noon, I checked into my hotel, which provided a cozy retreat. After a quick nap to recharge, I spent the afternoon exploring the bustling markets and small shops around the hotel. Batam’s streets are full of surprises, from unique souvenirs to charming snacks. Dinner was the highlight of the day—a seafood feast featuring two crabs (1kg) for only 400,000 IDR. The fresh and flavorful dishes made it a meal to remember. On Sunday morning, I headed to Grand Batam Mall for some last-minute shopping. This modern mall offers a great variety of stores and dining options, making it the perfect spot to wrap up the trip. A delicious lunch at the mall was the perfect send-off before heading back to the ferry terminal. By Sunday afternoon, I was on my way back to Singapore, refreshed and recharged. This quick getaway was the perfect blend of relaxation, good food, and a bit of adventure—proof that you don’t need a long holiday to feel like you’ve had a break!
