Naked Castle is a historic building that dates back to 1910. It was originally built by Scottish missionary and doctor Duncan Main as an English-style ancient castle. Background: In 1910, Duncan Main built a castle on Fort Hill in Mogan Mountain for summer vacation. After his retirement, the castle became a place for local villagers and foreigners to recuperate and rest. History: The castle changed hands several times and continued to move forward in the course of history. Unfortunately, it eventually succumbed to the ravages of time and collapsed in 1960. Rebirth and Transformation: In 2007, a South African man named Grant Horsfield accidentally discovered the ruins of the castle and decided to restore it. After two years of reconstruction and a total investment of about 200 million yuan, Naked Castle finally reopened in the summer of 2017 as a high-end eco-resort with 95 rooms and various facilities, offering visitors a luxurious vacation experience. Today, Naked Castle is not only a beautiful sight in Mogan Mountain, but also a resort with rich history and cultural heritage.
