Guangzhou Art Museum New Hall

The new hall of Guangzhou Art Museum is located at the intersection of Yiyuan Road and Shuangta Road in Haizhu District, near the Canton Tower, and officially opened on November 29, 2023. The design of the new hall is inspired by the "kapok blooming in the water", reflecting the Lingnan style and the regional characteristics of Guangzhou. The exterior facade of the building is composed of 21,008 fish-scale photovoltaic glass, presenting a dynamic and beautiful arc effect. The new hall has a total of 5 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, with a design floor height of 8 meters to 19.5 meters, suitable for the display of large murals, sculptures, and other art forms. It is not only an exhibition space, but also a modern international art museum integrating collection, research, and education, and has become an important landmark to promote the construction of Guangzhou as a world cultural city. There is also a special art exhibition of "Da Vinci" recently, which will last until April next year.
