Hunyuan, a county that guards Mount Heng, the Northern Mountain of the Five Great Mountains of China, has a cultural heritage that is no less than that of the cities under the other four mountains. The mysterious and wild Ming Dynasty murals of the Ten Great Kings of Esoteric Buddhism in Yong'an Temple have become a symbol of Hunyuan with their stunning forms. The Temple of the True Dharma is a model of Yuan Dynasty architecture, with a magnificent atmosphere, while the rest of the temple is a relic of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The temple is not large, but it is well laid out and complements the majestic Mount Heng. In addition to the architecture, the Ming and Qing murals of Yong'an Temple are another reason why it attracts visitors. Among the Ten Great Kings of the murals, one of them is particularly noteworthy, the Great King of Immovable Wisdom, also known as the "Face-Tearing King," is the image ambassador of Yong'an Temple. Another peculiar feature of the Temple of the True Dharma is the two characters "Zhuang Yan" (meaning "solemn") written on the wall, which are majestic and powerful. On the back of the hall, there is also a wall with the words "Tiger Roaring and Dragon Singing," which is equally magnificent. These six words are recessed into the brick wall, but visually they appear to be protruding, which is amazing.
