A day trip to Chikan Old Town in Jiangmen! I wish I had gone earlier!

Chikan Overseas Chinese Old Town is a beautiful old town hidden in Kaiping, Jiangmen. It was built in the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It has more than 680 buildings and stretches for nearly 3 kilometers. It is a combination of Chinese and Western styles. 📌Travel tips: 1️⃣Retro tram: Travel through the hundreds of years of history of the old town to the sound of bells. A 30-minute ride costs CNY 50 per person. 2️⃣Rowing boat: Enjoy the scenery of the arcades and European-style buildings on both sides of the river at a leisurely pace. CNY 80 per person. 3️⃣Peace Square: See the church and feed the pigeons. It feels like being abroad. 4️⃣Dangnian Photo Studio: Put on a cheongsam, Hanfu, or Republic of China costume for a photo shoot. It has a unique charm. 5️⃣There are different performances to watch, such as Chaozhou Yingge, Dashuhua, and Lion Dance.
