Hulunbuir Grassland - The wind is free.

Hulunbuir Grassland is located in the west of Hulunbuir City, west of the Greater Khingan Range. It is named after Hulun Lake and Bell Lake and is one of the four largest grasslands in the world.  - Natural environment: It has a temperate continental monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of -2.6~1.8°C and an annual precipitation of 250-350 mm. The terrain is high in the east and low in the west, with an average altitude of 714.4 meters, mainly high plains and low hills. There are more than 3,000 rivers and more than 500 lakes, such as the Hailar River, Yimin River, Morigele River, Hulun Lake, Bell Lake, etc. - Biological resources: There are more than 400 species of wild animals, 295 species of birds, and 1,352 species of vascular plants. The surface vegetation is mainly grassland vegetation, which is divided into three different zones from east to west: forest grassland, meadow grassland, and arid grassland. - History and culture: It is the hometown of Genghis Khan and his ancestors and is known as the "birthplace of the Mongolian nation" and the "cradle of China's nomadic people." It is home to 42 ethnic groups, including Han, Mongolian, Daur, Ewenki, and Oroqen. - Economic industry: It is dominated by industry, including mining, power generation, and processing of agricultural and livestock products. Tourism and animal husbandry are also relatively developed. In 2020, the main regional GDP was CNY 59.52 billion, and the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size was CNY 33.737 billion. - Tourist attractions: There are national 5A tourist attractions such as the China-Russia Border Tourism Area, as well as national 4A tourist attractions such as the Nuogan Lake Scenic Area and the Hoh Nuur Tourist Area.
