5 Days in Reykjavik

📍5 Days in Reykjavik Itinerary Day 1: Arrive and rest. Visit Reykjavik city center and Hallgrímskirkja Church. Day 2: Morning: FlyOver Iceland. Afternoon: Whale Watching tour. Evening: Northern Lights tour. Day 3: Take a day tour to hike at the volcano eruption site, explore the Reykjanes Peninsula Geopark, the Reykjanes lighthouse and the Bridge between continent Day 4: Golden Circle day tour and relax at Blue Lagoon in the evening: Thingvellir national park, Geysir, Gullfoss water fall then relax at the Blue Lagoon. Day 5: Explore Reykjavik, try local Icelandic cuisine and head to the airport. 🚇 Flybus company for airport transfer (pick up & drop off at the hotel). Local Reykjavik city bus: 0.7€/ride, pay by credit card on the bus. To other destination: I booked a tour for convenience. You could rent car to drive if you want. 📷 Photo Spots 🍜 Many exotic foods: fermented shark, hamburger with whale, lamb head, puffin 😱. I only tried fermented shark but I didn’t like it. You could find all at popular Icelandic restaurant Íslenski Barinn in Reykjavik. 🏠 Acommondation: Hotel Cabin - very popular one where all the tour and transportation operator have pick up options there. Reasonable price, nice staff, offer breakfast. 💡 Tips: + Day tour is long so choose breakfast option at the hotel to save time. Time to have lunch is short because many places to see, so bring lunch/sanwich/snack with you (you can enjoy good food in the evening). + You should spend longer time, visiting ice-cave, diamond beaches, etc…5 days were quite short, need more time to discover Iceland. + Tour and pricing were quite expensive but they worths every cent.
