"Once you enter this hotel in Shanghai, you won't want to leave! What makes it so magical?"

The Shanghai Edition is one of my favorite hotels in Shanghai. I've stayed here the most, along with the JW Marriott Marquis. The hotel has a unique design, simple and quiet, suitable for both travel and vacation. Among the many luxury hotels in Shanghai, the Edition gives me a special feeling, quiet, not as restless as other places, very suitable for those who want to find a quiet place to stay. The hotel is located on East Nanjing Road, which is quite lively, but once you enter the hotel, it's completely different, you feel like you've entered a small world. The overall design is wood style, with the taste of old Shanghai and Le Labo fragrance, you can feel particularly relaxed the moment you walk in. As someone who often finds a balance between work and rest, I really think this design is a plus. In terms of rooms, the Edition's hardware facilities may be slightly inferior to some top luxury hotels. For example, there is no electric toilet, and the shower water is a bit easy to overflow, but these problems are actually not big and do not affect the living experience. The room design is quite simple, and the space is relatively open, making people feel very relaxed. Overall, this "less is more" style makes me feel very comfortable. I've stayed in several different room types, and personally, I think the suites are more suitable for long stays, with more space and more comfort. In terms of service, the Edition's service is quite standard, not particularly enthusiastic but not uncomfortable either. What surprised me the most was their welcome gift and toiletry bag. Especially when I stayed during the Chinese New Year, I received cakes, desserts, and a box of White Rabbit milk candy, which was a really unexpected surprise. The toiletry bag contains Le Labo toiletries, which smell great, and the details are really in place. The food and beverage are also good, with Cantonese and Japanese cuisine being quite stable and delicious, especially the Cantonese cuisine, which is reasonably priced and cost-effective. The rooftop bar is a must-visit every time I come, and if the weather is good, sitting there and having a couple of drinks while enjoying the view of the Bund is super relaxing. If the weather is bad, you can also go to the Punch Room, which is more suitable for quietly drinking and experiencing the prosperity of Shanghai. Overall, although the Edition has some minor shortcomings in hardware, its design, environment, and service make me particularly like it. If you want to find a place that is both relaxing and modern, the Edition is definitely a good choice.
