Early Winter in Western Sichuan

Gan Haizi, also known as Fangcao Sea, is located in Gonggangling, on the border of Songpan County and Jiuzhaigou County. It was originally a high mountain lake, but due to geological changes, the outlet expanded, so the locals called it "Gan Haizi" (dry sea). In fact, "Gan Haizi" is not dry. The surrounding mountains are layered, the forests are dense, the streams in the sea are winding, and the grass is lush, like a velvet carpet covering the earth. In summer and autumn, wildflowers dot the area, and cattle, sheep, and horses roam in herds. In winter and spring, the area is deep yellow, contrasting with the surrounding snow-capped mountains and red leaves. Therefore, people gradually began to call "Gan Haizi" "Gan Haizi."
