The hexagonal pointed helmet top of the Gongbei has two meanings: one is built according to the hexagonal hat shape of Zheherenye; the other is to symbolize the six beliefs of Islam. Siqiliangzi Gongbei is the place where the fifth generation of Zheherenye Menhuan, Mahalong (known as the 13th Grandpa by the believers), returned to the truth. It is located at the intersection of Kaiyuan East Road and Wenwei Road in the eastern suburbs of Wuzhong City. Mahalong (1808-1872) led the Jinji and Lingwu Hui people to rebel against the Qing Dynasty. After the failure of the uprising, he was beheaded by the Qing government in Siqiliangzi on the 13th day of the first month of the tenth year of Tongzhi (1872)... His body was secretly buried in Siqiliangzi by the believers Ma San Ahong. In the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915), the believers of Zheherenye Menhuan built a Gongbei here in memory. The tomb was leveled during the "Cultural Revolution"; the cemetery was restored in 1981. Siqiliangzi Gongbei is an important religious activity place for Zheherenye Menhuan.
