Glimpse of the past at Jeju Folk Village
Interesting to walk through a piece of ancient times as you see the different houses and structures at Jeju Folk Village. The place was also used for filming of some korean drama depicting the ancient past and there is educational value in walking through this village. It is also a less commercialised village compared to the other Folk Villages located in Jeju and relatively tranquil to walk through. There are also appropriate pit stops along the way for people to rest and also a manless 7-11 inside where you can sit down for a refresher!

Beautiful
There's plenty of houses and buildings to see. It's an interesting place to learn about Jeju's historical housing & traditions. Each region will have different orientations of houses & store within a family compound. The wood sculpting and calligraphy artists are worth a visit, too.
There are shops and museums for the show Jewel in the Palace. We bought a couple of souvenirs from him and perhaps he was so happy that we appreciated his work that he gave me a handshake & warm hug when we were leaving.

Jeju Folk
Jeju Folk Village is the island’s main tourist attraction where visitors can explore the Jeju's traditional past. With over 100 houses and facilities that were once actual residences, this attraction displays scenes of Jeju's village from the 1890s. The villages have been reconstructed following long-term research and analysis from Jeju history experts. An extensive range of folk items are also on display. #wintergetaway

Located in
Located in Hannah Mountain, Chenghuang Folk Village is a folk village that completely preserves Korean tradition. There are many cultural heritages that preserve the original appearance of the ancient villages and are therefore designated as folk villages and protected. In the middle of the village, centuries-old eucalyptus and hackberry trees have been designated as objects of nature conservation. When you walk here, it makes you feel like time is going backwards. In addition, you can also get to know the unique culture of Korean culture, which is very popular among foreigners. The indigenous pigs here are rich in nutrients and delicious in meat. They are very famous. It is a tradition that has been rarely seen in modern society, and it has added a few different flavors.
In addition, the Korean drama "Da Jang Geum" was filmed here, describing the life of a medical woman in Jeju Island.
