The best hour of the Taiching Line in Mount Lao is hidden in this Taoist temple
Before, when climbing mountains, I would do it for the view. But when I visited the Taiching Line in Mount Lao, I suddenly realized that what left the deepest impression on me was not reaching the top of the mountain, watching the sunset, or looking at the coastline, but the hour I spent walking in a Taoist temple, watching the lingering incense, walking slowly, capturing colors, and daydreaming.
Taiching Palace, as one of the most famous areas in the large scenic area of Mount Lao, has a special meaning: it is a blessed land under the Old Jun Peak, and you can see the appearance of the blue sea when you go out. The climate is suitable for both winter and summer, and everywhere you can see bamboo forests and pine trees revealing the charm of Taoism. Even if I am a lazy tourist, when I arrive here, I can't help but feel calm and joyful.
Here for an hour, I took the fewest photos, but I felt the most comfortable in body and mind. To say something melodramatic, it seems that time occasionally stands still because of my presence.
I feel the core point of this Taoist temple comes from the various 'shades of blue' I saw here. Some belong to the sky, some to the earth, some to the architecture, some to the trees, and some to the tourists.
On the way down the mountain, I was quite eager to share the blue of Taiching Palace and the harvest of this hour today.
Travel advice
Total journey of the Taiching Line: The most famous scenic spot in Mount Lao, with a well-planned transportation system. There are two bus rides to visit the Taiching Line. The first one goes directly to Taiching Palace, and the second one continues up the mountain by bus. You can either take the cable car up or climb up to the BiXia Temple. In any case, I must praise the Qingdao Tourism Bureau for preparing all the 'effort-saving mountain climbing' methods you want to make the tourist experience the best.
Strolling in Taiching Palace: The Taiching Line is the most comfortable route to visit in the large scenic area of Mount Lao. Taiching Palace, as an important place, has a relatively flat terrain leading to various palace communities. The only effort required is to climb the steps to worship the statue of Laozi.
Reminder for Taoist temple holidays: Around the beginning of winter, Chinese traditional culture can only have the custom of driving away the Taisui for peace. Every year during this period, there will be many tourists and believers coming to Taiching Palace for blessings. After three o'clock in the afternoon is a good time to avoid the crowd.
