Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum ✨
It is a must place to go when you at Malacca with family. I love the ambience of the surrounding and the museum external design & arts shows the ancient tradition that we should be proud as a Malaysian.
A replica wooden structure which takes the visitor through displays, illustrations and stories from the days of the Malaccan Sultanate.
I was totally amazed by the antique displayed and how the building was built. Spending around more than an hour to learn about history of Melaka was really a splendid experience
It was a great experience visiting the museum. It was well maintained and preserved. The ticket was affordable too and its suitable for kids to learn about our country heritage. ❤️

Historical Landmark in Malacca
The Malacca Malay Sultanate Palace Museum is quite long and the average exhibition concept here displays many historical stories in the form of infographics, dioramas and galleries. Most interestingly, you can see replicas of iconic palaces throughout Malaysia built on a small scale such as Istana Jahar in Kelantan, Istana Seri Menanti in Negeri Sembilan, Istana Maziah in Terengganu and many more. In short, this museum is a historic place in Melaka that is complete for a tourist to explore the old history of Malaya both from the point of view of culture, art and customs.
The palace, which was built in 1984, is made of wooden pegs, which is a well-known technique in the art of traditional Malay house carpentry in the state of Melaka. It's amazing, without even a single nail, people in the past could still build such a beautiful and unique building. This museum with classical architecture is very suitable to be visited at any time even at noon and don't worry, there is an air-conditioning system inside.

Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum
#malaysiatrip
This really is a must see while in Melaka given the palace was reconstructed through the traditional method which used no nails, only wood joinery. It’s an exceptional work of art! Unfortunately, the displays inside suffer from the same outdated methods seen in other Melaka museums. The info is much better organized, but the mannequins are sometimes in strange poses, there’s no interactive displays in this digital age, and throughout various museums here, the same few stories and facts are presented repeatedly. There’s more to Malaysian history and we’d like to see it!
