The Siida
The Siida Museum in Inari, Finland is very special. The Siida Museum is a museum that introduces the Sami people, Sami culture and art from ancient times to the present.
Sami are ethnic minorities living in Finland, Norway, Sweden and northern Russia. They have been here for thousands of years, and they can go from nature, activities and their lives. Learn about Sami, a unique nation.
There are all kinds of Sami souvenirs on the first floor, but the price is quite expensive, probably because it is handmade. There is a small information desk on the side, and many brochures can be collected free of charge, most of which are about travel there. The first floor to the second floor is a long corridor that displays the Sami costumes from the past and the present, and also encounters a group of Finnish children who come to class. The second floor introduces Sami culture and the unique natural environment of Lapland from Sami jewelry, shoes, fishing, hunting, food, architecture and many other aspects. After the visit, there is a temporary photo exhibition on the first floor, which is about Finland's scenery and animals. The other room is a small auditorium. It is a film about Aurora, which is awesome.
Opening hours: June 1st - September 19th: 9
