Nepal Kathmandu Central Zoo

Located in Kathmandu, Nepal, the Central Zoo was founded in 1932. It is the only zoo in Kathmandu and was originally a private zoo. In 1950, it became a government public zoo, but it was not open to the public during this period. In 1995, the Nepalese government handed it over to a local foundation, and it gradually opened to the public. The trust fund aims to develop the Central Zoo into a center for relocated wildlife research and conservation education. The Central Zoo covers an area of about 6 hectares, providing shelter for 127 species of 942 mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles. It is also an entertainment center for visitors and a historical and cultural site for different groups of people. Foreigner ticket: 1000 Nepalese rupees, equivalent to 55 yuan in RMB. Opening hours: 9am to 5pm every day. Personal suggestion: I still think it's a bit interesting, especially the gorillas and monkeys inside. It's better to start from the left after entering the park, so as not to take a detour haha. Kathmandu Bagmati.
