Yuncheng Salt Lake, Shanxi
Yuncheng Salt Lake is located in the southern Shanxi Basin. It has been developed for more than 4,000 years. Due to its salt content being similar to the Dead Sea in the Middle East, people can float in the water without sinking, so it is known as the "Dead Sea of China."
Yuncheng Salt Lake is famous for its unique colors and rich mineral content. The Dunaliella salina in the salt lake will show different colors in different environments. From a high altitude, it looks like a palette of nature, colorful and dazzling. The best time to visit is in summer.
I came at the wrong time and didn't see the colorful salt lake. I saw the inscriptions of Guo Moruo and Zhao Puchu, and the vast salt lake, which was very satisfying.
I will definitely come again!
