Strolling through Zhang Family Garden, I admire the landscape and view the flowers against the backdrop of Cangshan
Zhang Family Garden, a private garden at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, carries the Bai ethnic architectural art, historical heritage, and culture. Integrating local customs, it showcases the magnificent garden of 'Wind, Flower, Snow, and Moon'.
Upon entering Zhang Family Garden, you are greeted by the beautiful camellias. But once inside the courtyard, you realize that what you're admiring is not just the flowers, but also the richly colored and splendidly grand residential courtyards.
With its three-sided halls and one screen wall, four-sided enclosures and five skylights, Begonia Spring Courtyard, and Western-style Yihong Garden, the buildings – towers, pavilions, platforms, and gazebos – are so exquisitely beautiful in this compact space, it's like a dream.
The halls, corridors, doors, and railings, even the inscribed plaques and couplets, are all ingeniously designed, a work of art by nature. The rooftop scenery is crafted, with pavilions standing atop the buildings. Climbing to the top feels like reaching the dome of the sky, overlooking the clear waters and bright snow, open and clear.
On March 1st at noon, after dining at the restaurant next to Zhang Family Garden with classmates, and urged by an old friend, my wife and I toured Zhang Family Garden, marveling at its intricate and artistic design.
The poem says:
Strolling through Zhang Family Garden
West of Erhai Lake, below Cangshan, Zhang Family Garden's palace shines bright.
Craftsmen create towers, pavilions, and gazebos with skill, halls and screen walls are artistic delights.
In the courtyard with skylights, corridors wind, steps and stairs stretch long.
Climbing to the rooftop to view the clear waters, turning back to see the snow on Cangshan's peak.

Beyond the beautiful Erhai Lake, there is a beautiful Zhangjia Garden
mentioned Dali, many people will think of the Bohai Sea, because Dali Bohai has been known all over the country, but in fact, there is a good place in Dali, that is Zhangjia garden. Through the long corridor, you can see the famous wall. The walls are dominated by pink and blue, and the palaces, rockeries, flowing water and the white children who dance and dance are vividly vivid. It is very exciting to appreciate the culture of ethnic minorities in such a close distance. The courtyard is surrounded by two layers of red lacquered wood buildings. The railings and doors and windows are engraved with various fairy and historical figures. It is very beautiful.
Travel master cao.
The ancient dwellings in Dali, Yunnan are very interesting. The north of Dali ancient town is often called the compound, and the south of the ancient city is usually called the garden. Zhangjia Garden is one of the most famous ancient dwellings in Dali, but it is not very accurate to say that ancient dwellings, because Zhangjia Garden was built later, and it was only opened to the public in 2008.
Zhangjia Garden covers an area of 8 acres, the area is not large, the ticket costs 90 yuan, to be honest, a little expensive, half more expensive than the Beijing Forbidden City. With a total investment of 88 million yuan, it has been completed in 8 years and can be regarded as an exquisite traditional Bai courtyard.
It is said that a long time ago, it was the royal palace of Dali, with six courtyards. It is the largest residential structure in the history of the Bai people, including five three squares and one courtyard, one four-five patio courtyard and exclusive to Dali. The back garden is a combination.
Dali's climate is suitable for flower growth, Zhangjia Garden is a veritable garden, flowers are placed in each courtyard, and you will feel comfortable. Of course, you can follow the lecturer to learn about the history of the Bai and Dali countries.
The courtyards are connected. Whether it is rainy or sunny, there are not many tourists. There are also Bai folk songs and dances and three tea performances. The auction of paintings and paintings after the performance is a bit commercial.
Sandao Tea is a tea drinking method used by Yunnan Bai people to entertain VIPs, with its unique tea ceremony of head bitter, two sweet, three flavors.
