Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is located in the center of Taipei City. In the early days of its opening, it mainly displayed cultural relics related to the historical relics of Sun Yat-sen. Today, it is mostly used for cultural performances or award ceremonies, and it is a large-scale performance venue. The Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall is divided into five areas, including the Memorial Hall, Green Lake, Zhongshan Park, Zhongshan Stele Forest and Zhongshan Park Square. The building is three stories high, and each floor has its own function. On the north side of the first floor is a large hall with lecture halls, Zhongshan Lecture Hall, and Yixian Bookstore; on the second floor is the Zhongshan Gallery and Dr. Sun Yat-sen Library, where the gallery often invites well-known artists to exhibit; Deming Art Gallery and Yixian Screening Room; on the ground floor there are Cuiheng Art Gallery, Zaizhixuan, Cuixi Art Gallery, book and newspaper reading room, and audio-visual center. There is a bronze statue of Mr. Sun Yat-sen on the south side of the first floor of the memorial hall. There are guards on each side of the bronze statue, which are sent by the army, navy and air force in turn. During the changing of the guard ceremony on the hour every day, a non-commissioned officer will lead two changing guards to walk into the hall from the left side of the hall with high legs, to the front to salute the father of the country. The guards on guard stepped down from the post and lined up with the guards who received the post to complete a series of actions such as gun inspection. After salute the statue of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, the guards who received the post walked to their post. The whole process took about 15 minutes, and the movements were neat and uniform. . Outside the memorial hall is a green lake with weeping willows swaying in the wind; there is also a 120-meter-long health trail paved with dark green pebbles, a speciality of Hualien; Zhongshan Park is one of the parks popular with local citizens. Today's Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall has become a comprehensive place for citizens to relax and enjoy art and cultural performances. During holidays, young students can often be seen rehearsing dances here, and many citizens will come here for walks and exercise when the weather is good, and many photographers will also take pictures here.
