Skype Therapist for Anxiety and Depression

Learn how to overcome your anxiety and depression through the highly effective techniques of Mindfulness Therapy

Let a Skype Therapist specializing in Mindfulness Therapy help you manage your anxiety or depression more effectively

Skype Therapy is a very effective way of getting the help you need to better manage your emotional well-being. The focus is to teach you practical mindfulness skills that you can apply yourself for managing difficult emotions, including anxiety and depression.

This approach is very effective, and most people experience significant improvements in their emotional well-being after 3-4 sessions.

Online Mindfulness Psychotherapy is very effective for stopping anxiety and depression without the need for drugs. It is better to treat the cause of your emotional pain as opposed to just managing symptoms.

The principle healing factors cultivated during Mindfulness Therapy are Consciousness, which is essential for breaking free from the unconscious psychological habits that cause emotional suffering, and Inner Compassion, which is what promotes healing and resolution of emotional suffering.

“I came across Dr. Peter Strong’s website when I was doing some research on the benefits of mindfulness for anxiety. I am so happy I took the next step and contacted him. I always looked forward to each session, he made my day lighter, made me feel stronger and happier.”

Skype Therapist to Help You Heal Anxiety and Depression through Mindfulness Therapy

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional psychotherapist based in Boulder, Colorado, but I offer online therapy via Skype worldwide. I see people throughout the USA but also in the UK and Western Europe and as far away as Australia.

People come to me because they’re looking for a different way of working with anxiety or depression. A different approach that doesn’t involve using medications or endless sessions of just talking about your emotions and your family history, and so on.

The conventional approaches that are what is most widely available for treating anxiety and depression don’t seem to work particularly well for most people. Medications may produce short relief from symptoms, but medications will never change the underlying psychological process that’s causing your anxiety or depression. And the same for conventional counseling or talk therapy.

Generally just talking about your emotions is not sufficient to change these underlying powerful habits that create your anxiety or depression. You need more than just talking about them. You need to explore the mechanism of how your mind works, how it actually creates anxiety or depression and that’s the approach that we take in Mindfulness Therapy, which is what I specialize in and have worked on over many years now and find to be most effective.

My clients really enjoy the mindfulness approach for healing because it gives you practical and very effective tools for overcoming anxiety and depression, for healing anxiety and depression, not just coping with it. If you’re interested in learning more about Mindfulness Therapy, then go to my website and read more pages and watch more videos there. And of course, email me anytime with any questions you may have about the mindfulness therapy approach.

So I offer online therapy via Skype. I really enjoy working with people over Skype because it’s basically just as good as working in person if you can see each other, but it means that I can work with people all over the world. All you need is a good Internet connection. So I find that very appealing, myself.

It’s also of course, very convenient for you to work with an online therapist over Skype. Being able to see a Skype therapist means you don’t have to leave home, and if you’re suffering from anxiety or depression or addiction, often it’s difficult to leave home and it’s often difficult to go and meet a therapist in their offices; it is too intimidating. So the added convenience and comfort of being able to talk to a therapist like myself from your own home is a very important factor, and it actually improves the effectiveness of your psychotherapy sessions.

It is really important. You should not really depend on treatment-based therapies, whatever they are, certainly not medications. But treatment-based approaches are not really empowering you; they are reinforcing the sense of being a victim that has to go to someone else to get their problems solved. And that’s not my approach. I don’t believe in that approach.

What I believe in is giving you the tools to work on your emotions yourself so that you can heal inside you can heal past trauma, which is often the starting place for anxiety and depression. It’s about empowering you. That’s the whole focus of mindfulness therapy.

We work on our emotions by bringing mindfulness to them. We learn how to form a different kind of relationship with our painful emotions that is not based on fear, that is not based on avoidance, that is not based on hatred, but is based on compassion. It’s about learning how to develop a compassionate and conscious relationship with your anxiety or depression or any other emotion. This is central to Mindfulness Therapy. It’s what really makes the difference.

Just talking about your emotions is not the same as developing a conscious and compassionate relationship. Typically, that is more of a process of being silent in relationship, the same way that you would comfort a child that was in pain. You don’t just talk to the child endlessly about their emotions and trying to convince them not to feel afraid, if they’re feeling fear, or not to be angry, if they are feeling anger.

Talking like that is not really very effective. And it’s the same with our emotions. Just talking at them or trying to talk yourself out of feeling those emotions is not really a very effective approach. What is a pro effective is to learn to embrace those feelings with a great deal of compassion and acceptance, in addition to the other important quality of mindfulness, which is investigation, which means curiosity. How does it work?

In the case of emotions the emotions are fed by reactive thoughts. The first part of Mindfulness Therapy is learning to see all these reactive thoughts. That’s part of the underlying habitual process that causes your anxiety and depression and that is not touched by medications.

We get to see these thoughts in great detail and then as we become more conscious we can begin to change our relationship to those thoughts so that we gain more power and we can begin to reverse the habit of becoming identified with those thoughts and becoming imprisoned by the thoughts and beliefs that feed our anxiety or depression. That’s really very important.

So, the first part of Mindfulness Therapy is learning how to relate to thoughts. When you can change that then you stop feeding the emotions that are in pain.

And then the second part is bringing this compassionate relationship to the emotion itself and exploring how you can comfort that emotion; seeing it very much as if it was an inner child or a small animal or, any case, something that you can relate to that’s in pain. How would you comfort it? You already know how to do that. That’s part of your true nature, your True Self. You know how to be compassionate and how to care for a child or an animal that is in pain. We need to apply this to our own emotions and this is very much of a focus in Mindfulness Therapy.

So if you’d like to get started with me. If You like the idea of working with a Skype therapist, then please contact me and let’s schedule a Skype Therapy session at a time that works for you and we can begin to explore how to apply mindfulness to produce effective and fast healing of your anxiety or depression or your addiction. Addiction is what we call a behavioral reaction to an unresolved emotion, generally some form of depression. That’s the most common core emotion behind addiction. So if you want to get started with some online therapy sessions with me, then please contact me now. Thank you.

Skype Therapist for Anxiety and Depression Online

The focus of mindfulness therapy is to give you the tools you need to overcome and heal the root cause of your anxiety, depression or other form of emotional suffering instead of just treating symptoms. This approach is very effective for most people and you can expect to see substantial improvements after the first 3-4 sessions with me.

The focus is on learning how to break the habit of reactive identification with thoughts and emotions. The common habit is to become identified and “lost” in your thoughts. This leads to rumination and proliferation of reactive thinking, which has the effect of reinforcing your anxiety or depression and it also prevents the emotions from resolving and healing.

Reactive thinking is like throwing wood onto a fire. That is an interesting analogy, because the nature of a fire is to burn itself out, so long as you don’t feed it. Your emotions, your anxiety or depression, are very much the same. They will heal quite naturally if you don’t feed them with reactive thoughts and rumination.

So, overcoming reactive identification is vital for recovery from emotional suffering. This is one part of Mindfulness Therapy that I will teach you during our sessions.

I specialize in mindfulness therapy for the treatment of anxiety, depression and addictions. If you’d like to speak to a Skype therapist via Skype then I invite you to go to my website to learn more about this service, and then to simply e-mail me if you have any questions and to schedule a Skype Therapy session at a time that works for you.

I see people throughout North America and Europe and as far away as Australia. All you need for Skype Therapy is a good internet connection and you’re ready to start. Working with a Skype therapist is very effective if you are interested in learning how to manage your anxiety or depression yourself, if you want to learn the tools for better managing your own emotional well-being.

This form of online therapy is a good substitute for conventional therapy and for many it’s a lot better because it focuses on teaching you how to manage your emotions more effectively by yourself rather than relying on another person to solve your problems or without relying on medication which, of course, does not treats or change the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression.

Mindfulness Therapy is particularly effective when delivered online and I have worked many hundreds of people now over the last 10 to 20 years with great benefit. People like the convenience of online therapy because you can schedule sessions from home or the office or anywhere where you have access to the internet. Lots of people use their smartphones for therapy sessions, which can be good if you are traveling.

So, if you’re interested in learning more about Skype Therapy and you like to talk to a mindfulness based Skype therapist, then please to my website and then email me. Thank you.

Online Skype Therapist for Anxiety and Depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I’m a professional psychotherapist and I offer online therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. If you are interested in working with an online Skype therapist then I invite you to go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service, and then simply contact me with any questions you may have about Skype Therapy and whether it’s suitable for your particular needs.

Generally, people find working with a Skype therapist online to be just as effective as working with a therapist in person, and in some cases actually better, in my opinion, because it’s more comfortable for you, the client. You’re able to conduct your therapy sessions from the comfort and security of your own home and that can really improve the quality of recovery or psychotherapy in general.

So the style of therapy that I offer online is called mindfulness therapy. This is a system that I developed several years ago now and have been teaching worldwide. Most of my clients live in America but I also see people in Western Europe, the Middle East and as far away as Australia. All you need for working online with a Skype therapist is a good internet connection.

So mindfulness therapy is really a way of helping you change the way that you relate to your emotions. This is quite critical. Most of the time we simply become reactive and overwhelmed by conditioned emotional reactions. We simply become consumed by them. There’s no relationship with our thoughts and with our emotions. So mindfulness is a way of training in becoming more conscious and more aware and less reactive.

You can learn to develop mindfulness towards your emotions and thoughts without becoming overwhelmed by them, without becoming reactive and feeding the suffering. So this is a very important part of Mindfulness Therapy: Learning how to change the relationship to your mind, essentially, to the contents of your mind.

Skype therapist for anxiety and depression
Online therapy via Skype for anxiety and depression

The second part of mindfulness therapy is learning how to respond to unresolved emotions that are fueling all of this emotional suffering. So we learn to develop a compassionate relationship to our emotions, rather like developing a compassionate relationship towards a child that is in pain.

When you can establish that same quality of relationship with your emotions. you’re creating the absolute perfect conditions for those emotions to heal and resolve themselves. This is a very important part of mindfulness therapy and training: Learning how to cultivate a conscious and friendly relationship to your emotional pain. This is essential for healing.

So if you’d like to learn more about this approach to working with anxiety and depression and addiction and other emotional suffering, do please go to my website and if you would like to talk to an online therapist via Skype simply email me and we can schedule the session that works for you. Thank you.

Online Psychotherapist via Skype for Anxiety & Depression

Welcome. If you’re looking for a Skype therapist and you live in the UK I invite you to go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service that I offer. Now, I currently live in Colorado and USA but I frequently have sessions with clients in the United Kingdom. It actually works out quite well because of the time difference. Generally you will have your sessions in the evening after work.

So if you’re interested in getting help for anxiety, including social anxiety and generalized anxiety disorder or panic attacks or if you’re struggling with agoraphobia or general problems with depression or addiction and you would like to get help to overcome these emotional psychological conditions without using medications then I invite you to contact me.

So I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy which is a system of work that I’ve developed over the years and find to be extremely effective for anxiety and depression. The approach is one of teaching you how to work with your emotions and your thoughts using mindfulness.

It teaches you how to break those habits of conditioned reactivity that pull you into anxiety or depression. Most people see quite remarkable changes after just a few weeks of practicing the mindfulness-based methods that I have developed and teach online.

Online therapist for anxiety and depression via Skype
Online therapist for anxiety and depression via Skype

So if you would like to learn more please go to my website and send me an email and tell me about yourself and how I can help you. When you’re ready we can schedule a Skype Therapy session and you can see it for yourself.

The first session is a trial session, which means that there’s no obligation if you don’t want to continue. But most people do and then it can continue usually on a weekly basis for a few weeks until you have mastered the mindfulness methods as I teach and can start to practice yourself, to continue your recovery from anxiety or depression.

The first part of Mindfulness Therapy is really learning how to change your relationship to your thoughts and emotions. You have to develop what is called “equanimity.” And this is really simply freedom from reactivity to your thoughts and emotions. It’s about learning to sit with your anxiety or depression or your thoughts or memories without reacting. That’s most important because if you react you simply feed that emotional suffering. So learning not to react to your anxiety or depression is the first step in recovery.

So I will teach you how to do that and how to develop equanimity and this very important mindfulness-based relationship to your emotions and thoughts. The second part of Mindfulness Therapy that I will teach you, and we will begin doing this in the first session, is learning how to change the psychological imagery that causes your anxiety or depression or emotional trauma.

So all emotions are based around imagery, how we see them in the mind, is what really determines the nature of the emotion and the intensity of the emotion. So imagery is the primary organizing force for emotions.

So we examine the imagery of your emotions using mindfulness and we look at the structure and then we start to explore resolving that structure and changing the imagery of the emotion. So this is a very important part of the healing process. Examining the emotional imagery and changing it and helping the emotions heal.

And that’s the big function here of our mindful practice is healing emotional suffering. This is quite different than simply talking about your emotions. And it’s certainly very different than trying to treat emotional suffering using medications. Medications and simple talk therapy are really quick fixes that don’t address the underlying mechanism that causes your suffering.

See a therapist online over Skype for anxiety or depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I’m a professional online therapist. If you’d like to see an online therapist over Skype then please go to my website and learn more about this online psychotherapy service and feel free to contact me via e-mail to ask any questions you have about seeing a therapist online as opposed to seeing a therapist in an office.

From my experience there’s no difference in the effectiveness of online therapy when compared to conventional in-person psychotherapy. What’s much more important is the style of psychotherapy and the confidence that you feel about the therapist that you’re working with.

So, as long as you can see each other, which of course is possible with Skype or other video platform, then I think the quality of communication is really no different whether it’s online or in person.

So if you would like to see a therapist online do please consider online Mindfulness Therapy, which is what I specialize in. This approach is particularly effective for anxiety disorders, including agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, driving anxiety. other kinds of phobias, and also for depression, as well, and addiction that is associated with depression.

I see many many people for anxiety and also quite a few people like the greater privacy offered by online therapy as compared to clients who see a therapist in person. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your therapy sessions and I think the online format makes the sessions much more comfortable for you.

It is much less clinical in nature and of course the function of of online psychotherapy, like any other form of psychotherapy, should be to teach you how to work with your emotions so that you can overcome patterns of emotional suffering so that you can become more comfortable in your life.

If you would like to learn more about working with a Skype therapist and if you would like to schedule a Skype Therapy session with me, then do please go to my website and use the contact form and send me an email. You can ask any questions you like about Skype Therapy.

When you feel ready, we can schedule a Skype Therapy session at a time that is convenient for you. All you need is a good internet connection and Skype and PayPal to make secure online payments for your sessions and then we can get started.

It’s very easy and the mindfulness approach that I teach works extremely well online, and most people really enjoy this approach. It’s quite different than conventional talk therapy or counseling. It’s very practical and is focused on giving you the tools that you need to overcome longstanding patterns of anxiety or depression. So please contact me and let’s get started.

Mindfulness Meditation Therapy for Overcoming Anxiety and Depression without using Drugs

Most of the people that I work with through Skype see real changes after the first few weeks of psychotherapy via Skype with me.

Mindfulness Meditation Therapy is an excellent choice for most people because it works on healing the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression rather than just treating symptoms. The focus is on teaching you practical tools and methods between sessions. This is why most people experience significant changes very much quicker than is reported for the usual “talk therapy.”

Skype Therapist providing online help for Anxiety and Depression

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong. I’m a professional online therapist specializing in teaching Mindfulness Therapy for anxiety and depression and addictions and also for PTSD. If you’re looking for online help for overcoming anxiety or depression or any other form of emotional suffering then please go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service and then contact me if you have any questions and to schedule a Skype Therapy session.

So Mindfulness Therapy provides one of the best approaches for working with the mind, with thoughts, with difficult emotional reactions, with painful and traumatic memories and compulsive patterns of thinking and behaving. So Mindfulness Therapy is particularly good for working with OCD and other anxiety disorders. It teaches you how to break free from the psychological habits whereby you become reactively identified with your thoughts and emotions and beliefs. This is the biggest problem that we encounter, that we call “reactive identification.”

So thoughts for example may get triggered in the mind, and then we simply become completely consumed by those thoughts. They overwhelm us and they cause more thoughts in reaction to those first thoughts. So there’s this proliferation of uncontrolled reactive thinking, and that feeds anxiety and depression and emotional trauma, and, of course, the compulsive behaviors that accompany OCD and addictions. So learning how to work with thoughts and emotions is extremely important.

Mindfulness Meditation Therapy: The Direct Path for Transformation of anxiety, panic attacks and phobias
Mindfulness Meditation Therapy: The Direct Path for Transformation

The way we do this is by actually developing skills at meditating on those emotions and those intrusive thoughts, as well as meditating on traumatic memories. We have to overcome the natural reactive tendency to avoid and distract ourselves away from painful emotions. This simply leaves them unresolved and then they will continue to return and proliferate.

So we have to reverse avoidance and instead develop more conscious awareness around these painful emotions, and that is the first part of the training in mindfulness therapy. We learn to meditate on these emotions, which means we learn how to establish balance and overcome this pattern of reactive identification and further reactivity that feeds the underlying emotional pain and prevents it from healing. When you can sit with your anxiety without becoming anxious then things begin to change very quickly indeed.

So that’s the first part of our training in Mindfulness Therapy and the second part of our mindfulness therapy training is learning how to actually help painful emotions heal, how to change the internal imagery that creates those emotions in the first place.

Change the Imagery of your Emotions

We look at the emotional imagery the way that we see anxiety or depression or trauma in the mind.

This imagery is what causes our emotional suffering and the imagery is habitual by nature and it simply operates in a conditioned manner as a psychological habit.

So when we bring mindfulness to this, we begin to uncover this imagery and we begin to explore ways of changing that imagery so that the emotion subsides, so you can learn how to resolve the emotional suffering around a traumatic event, for example, or you can learn to reduce and neutralize the imagery of anxiety or depression or any other form of emotional suffering.

So it’s all about learning how to overcome these conditioned reactive habits. That’s the real cause of our emotional suffering and Mindfulness Therapy provides the tools for doing this. If you would like to get started with Mindfulness Therapy with me then simply send me an email and let schedule a therapy session over Skype so that you can begin to learn these mindfulness techniques.

Most people see quite remarkable changes after just the first three or four sessions. It’s because you’re learning how to work directly with your emotions. Talking about your emotions is seldom sufficient to overcome significant chronic emotional suffering.

Medications will do nothing to change the underlying cause of your emotional suffering. But actually bringing conscious awareness to the mechanism that causes our suffering is by far the most effective way of healing. So if you like to get started with me to please contact me and let schedule a therapy session of the Skype. Thank you.

Looking for a Therapist using Skype?

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I offer Skype Therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. So if you’re looking for Skype Therapy to help you overcome anxiety or depression, then I invite you to take a look at my website and then e-mail me through my contact form with any questions you may have about Skype Therapy and how it can help you.

So, Skype Therapy is a great choice if you are looking for an alternative to medical-based treatments for anxiety or depression. Many people are looking for something other than medications. Many of my clients have already tried medications, and the general consensus is that anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications really don’t seem to address the underlying problem. They seem to provide a short term solution, perhaps reducing symptoms, but they do nothing to change the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression.

So during the Skype Therapy sessions that I teach, I will be showing you how to work at the core level of your anxiety or depression using the techniques of Mindfulness Therapy. This is a very effective way of changing the underlying conditioned habitual processes that cause your anxiety and depression.

And these are psychological in nature. They must be changed by a psychological intervention of which psychotherapy is the right approach, but you have to approach it in the right way, using the right kind of psychotherapy.

So again, talk therapy is generally not that effective because it’s not really getting into the root cause of your anxiety or depression.

So in Mindfulness Therapy, we try to change things at a fundamental level and we do that not by talking about your emotions so much, not by trying to uncover family history and and the like, but really by simply focusing conscious, mindful awareness on exactly how that anxiety or depression is manifesting right now.

So we can look at the underlying process that is generating that anxiety or depression or other emotional problems. If you really want to change something, you have to change it in the present. You can’t change history, but you can change the way that you relate to your memories.

So we learn essentially how to meditate on our emotions. This is the primary vehicle for change and for promoting healing and recovery.

The best way to think about anxiety or depression or other forms of emotional suffering is to see them as being like a wound. Now that wound already knows how to heal itself if it’s given the right conditions for healing. If you take care of it, if you keep it clean, it will then automatically start to heal.

Well, your anxiety and depression and other emotional wounds are very similar. They already know how to heal themselves. The problem is the conditioned reactivity. So this is what is preventing anxiety and depression from healing.

And conditioned habitual reactivity, by its nature operates subconsciously and we are not really consciously aware of what’s happening. We simply suffer the consequences of these underlying habitual patterns of reactivity.

So the central focus in Mindfulness Therapy is to uncover these habits, the habits that cause anxiety and the habits that cause depression. We want to see those habits very clearly. When you bring conscious awareness to them that allows you to break free from that automatic blind quality of the habit.

So we learn to meditate on our emotions. Meditation is the primary vehicle for seeing what’s going on in the mind. We then practice and train to stay present with our emotions without becoming reactive, without becoming identified with them, without becoming sucked in to those patterns of reactive thinking and rumination that feeds anxiety and depression.

So the more you see, the freer you become. And then from that place of freedom, you are better able to respond skillfully in a way that helps the anxiety or depression heal.

And it is very much about developing internal compassion towards your emotional pain. That’s what it really needs for healing, and that’s what’s usually missing when the mind becomes reactive.

So there are many aspects of Mindfulness Therapy I’d be happy to teach you and explain to you in more detail. If you would like to really get to the bottom of your anxiety or depression and really promote a lasting recovery and healing, then I advise you to consider Mindfulness Therapy.

Now, people like online therapy because it’s convenient. And as long as you use Skype, then it is just as effective as meeting in-person with a therapist. You don’t need to be in the same room as a therapist, but you do need to see each other.

So if you’d like to learn more about online Mindfulness Therapy via Skype, then please contact me and let’s schedule a Skype Therapy session.

Most people see tremendous improvements in a relatively short time, often in the first three or four weeks, once you start applying the mindfulness techniques that I’ll be teaching you during these Skype therapy sessions. So please contact me if this interests you. Thank you.

Conventional counseling may certainly be a great help, but what most people find is that common talk therapy does not transform the habitual emotional and cognitive reactivity that is the real cause of your depression or anxiety.

This also applies to the use of medications – medications may provide a temporary relief from anxiety and depression symptoms for a while, but medications are not effective for transforming the underlying psychological process that produces the emotional pain.

The kind of psychotherapy that I find most effective is called Mindfulness Meditation Therapy, which is remarkably effective for healing all forms of anxiety, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Phobias and Panic Disorder} and for treating chronic depression and other emotional difficulties caused by conditioned negative thinking.

Most of the people that I work with via Skype notice dramatic changes after the first couple of weeks of Online Therapy with me.

Skype therapy for anxiety and depression

Welcome! Are you trying to find a Skype therapist to help you overcome anxiety or depression or to work with an addiction?

My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. I offer Skype therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. I have been doing this for many years now and I really enjoy the Skype therapy interface. It’s much more convenient, of course, for clients, but it is also very effective, because it means that you can receive quality psychotherapy form the comfort of your own home, without having to leave and go to a therapist’s office where you may feel a little more uncomfortable or intimidated by the relationship of a therapist and you as a patient.

Skype therapy overcomes this kind of intimidation that is so characteristic of a traditional medical-based psychotherapy.

In my opinion, good psychotherapy is about teaching you more effective ways of managing emotional suffering, whether that is anxiety or depression or addiction or OCD or any other form of emotional suffering that is limiting your life.

From my point of view as a specialist in Mindfulness Therapy, I regard most psychological forms of emotional suffering as simply habits. These are emotional habits that we learn and that operate subconsciously.

These habits can be changed through the techniques of Mindfulness Therapy that I teach via Skype.

So. if you would like to learn more about online therapy and about how Mindfulness Therapy can help you break the emotional habits of anxiety or depression or addiction, then please go to my website, learn more about the Mindfulness Therapy approach and then CONTACT ME.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. I specialize in Online Mindfulness Psychotherapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders and depression and help with addictions.

Now, anxiety therapy online is becoming increasingly popular for many reasons. Convenience is certainly one of those reasons, but another reason is, of course, because of the condition itself – anxiety. People plagued by anxiety often find it very difficult to visit a therapist in his or her office, in-person. So the online therapist option provides a very attractive alternative for the treatment of anxiety and also for other anxiety disorders such as agoraphobia and social phobia.

Whatever the style of therapy that you like, you need to work with the underlying structure of the anxiety or depression itself.

Traditional Talk Therapy can be helpful, but often it does not transform the underlying structure, the underlying process that creates your anxiety and depression.

The same can be said for medications – the prescription medications may provide a temporary relief from symptoms for awhile, but medications are not going to change the underlying psychological process that generates the anxiety or depression.

So, it’s recommended that you find what we can call a process-centered therapy to try and change the underlying process that creates the anxiety or depression. CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is an example of a process-oriented therapy. Mindfulness Therapy, which is a form of psychotherapy that I developed in the 1980’s incorporates CBT with the addition of mindfulness, and this is another very popular process-oriented therapy.

Talk to a psychotherapist using Skype

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I’m a professional psychotherapist and I offer online therapy via Skype.

So if you’re looking for a psychotherapist who uses Skype them, do please go to my website and learn more about the online therapy service that I provide. Skype is a very good choice because it’s very secure, it’s encrypted, and it allows you to see each other, which is a very important part of effective communication. So it’s a very good choice if you are considering online therapy. You really do need to see each other.

So I work almost exclusively now via Skype simply because people enjoy the convenience of Skype therapy. And people really find it more comfortable to have their sessions from home than having to go into a therapist’s office. Being comfortable is really important, that greatly increases the effectiveness of the psychotherapy process. You need to feel in control.

You need to feel free to ask questions and really explore the methods that I’ll be teaching you. This is really important. This is your process. It’s quite different than simply going to a doctor for a prescription medication.

What I teach is a set of well-tested methods that you can apply yourself for overcoming chronic anxiety and depression and also for working with the underlying emotional cause of addiction.

Whatever the form of emotional suffering that is affecting you, you can overcome that emotional suffering when you have the tools to do it effectively. So that’s the focus that I take in my therapy sessions.

I will be teaching you how to apply mindfulness for overcoming anxiety and depression and other forms of emotional suffering.

It’s better, in my opinion, to think of anxiety and depression, as well, as being a set of emotional and psychological habits. This is much more useful than labeling anxiety or depression as an illness or a mental problem. They’re not. They are learned habits. We learn how to become anxious and afraid. We learn how to become depressed. This learning happens unconsciously as we build more and more habits, unconscious reactive habits.

Typically, these habits involve four kinds of reactivity. There is cognitive reactivity. This is reactive thinking that becomes habitual: Rumination, chronic worrying and other forms of negative thinking that reinforce the underlying emotion.

There is emotional reactivity where we react to our emotions with other emotions. So this could include self-hatred or self-criticism. The inner critic is a big problem that fuels anxiety and depression particularly, and that’s a form of emotional reactivity.

There’s also behavioral reactivity, where we seek to avoid the emotion by distraction or for engaging in some activity that takes us away from the underlying emotional pain, and addiction falls into that category of behavioral reactivity. As you know, addiction does not heal the underlying anxiety or depression or trauma that is feeding that addiction. The addiction is simply a reaction to that pain and attempt to escape the pain, which is of course, completely ineffective.

And the fourth kind of reactivity that we encounter is somatic reactivity. This is how the body reacts to anxiety and depression. So the fight-or-flight type reactions are a form of somatic reactivity. The changes in facial expression and posture that you would expect for depression, for example, is a form of somatic reactivity.

So all of these forms of reactivity have the same effect. They reinforce the underlying emotional trauma that hasn’t healed.

Emotional trauma simply refers to any intense emotion that has not been processed properly and completely and continues to cause anxiety or depression.

So in mindfulness therapy, we learn how to work with the underlying emotions. We learn how to work with these patterns of reactivity that feed those underlying emotions. And the approach is very, very effective indeed. This is quite different than conventional counselling or or talk therapy. We’re not trying to understand our anxiety or depression. We’re trying to promote healing of our anxiety and depression as it manifests itself in the present. This is where healing happens.

Understanding can be useful, but it is rarely enough to heal anxiety or depression. People usually have some level of understanding already about when their anxiety or depression got started and how they fall into patterns of reactivity that feed that suffering, but they don’t know how to stop the process. They don’t know the practical things they can do in the present. And that’s what I’ll be teaching you through the techniques of mindfulness therapy.

We can learn how to overcome the patterns of reactivity and the underlying emotions themselves. The effect is very, very profound, long-lasting and it provides a path for growing in well-being and happiness, as well as just healing the underlying suffering.

So if you’d like to learn more about mindfulness therapy and you’re looking for a therapist to work with via Skype, then do please contact me and let’s schedule a Skype therapy session. I see people worldwide. All you need is a good Internet connection and then we can arrange for a Skype therapy session.

Typically, people see big changes have to the first three or four sessions with me once you learn how to apply these practical methods for working with anxiety and depression and other forms of emotional suffering. Thank you.

Get help from a Skype therapist specializing in Mindfulness Therapy

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I provide online therapy via Skype. If you’re looking for a Skype therapist to help you manage anxiety or depression or to work with addiction or to work with intrusive thoughts or emotional trauma, I am available to help. Please look at my website. And feel free to contact me if you have any questions about working with a Skype therapist.

Skype therapy is a very convenient way of getting the help that you need. We use Skype so that you can see each other. That’s really important for quality psychotherapy. You need to see each other. But other than that, there’s no difference between seeing a therapist via Skype or seeing a therapist in person. The quality of psychotherapy, of teaching and transmitting methods for working with anxiety and depression, is just as effective when done via Skype as it is in person.

For many people, the Skype therapy option is the most preferred option because it’s much more comfortable for you. It’s much easier. It’s much less intimidating than going to see a therapist in an office.

The whole point of psychotherapy is to help you overcome your anxiety or depression and to learn the methods to do that. And it is not to look for a treatment-based approach. Medications are not an effective treatment for anxiety or depression. They simply suppress symptoms. You need to learn how to work with your emotions at the psychological level and that’s what I teach during these online Skype therapy sessions.

If you’d like to learn more, then please go to my website and feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

So I specialize in mindfulness therapy. This is a very effective form of cognitive therapy. It’s the next stage up from CBT. And the focus is primarily on working at the emotional level, not just working with thoughts, but working with the emotions underneath the thoughts. It’s very effective and most people see substantial improvements after a few sessions with me when they start to apply the methods that I will be teaching.

We have to learn how to fundamentally change our relationship to our thoughts and to our emotions. We have to start developing more mindfulness, more conscious awareness and less reactive identification and reactivity in general towards our emotional pain.

If you react to anxiety or depression, you simply make it worse. React to trauma and you tend to make it worse.

What we need to do is learn how to not react to our emotions, and this then opens up a space that allows healing to occur. So Non-reactivity is the first most essential method and strategy that I’ll be teaching you during these Skype therapy sessions.

You then learn to develop more advanced qualities in our relationship with our emotions that are based on compassion and kindness and friendliness and other qualities that allow healing to occur. Reactivity prevents healing, but a mindful relationship based on friendliness and compassion and non-reactivity promotes healing.

So if you would like to learn more about working with me on your particular emotional pain, whether it’s anxiety or depression or intrusive thoughts or traumatic memories or addiction, then do please contact me. And let’s set up his Skype therapy session. Thank you.

I will be happy to answer your questions about online therapy, and when you feel ready, you can schedule an online therapy session with me.

Talk to a therapist online for help with anxiety or depression

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional internet counselor. I specialize in Online Mindfulness Psychotherapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression.

Now, online treatment for anxiety and depression and other emotional problems is becoming increasingly popular for many reasons. Convenience is certainly one of those reasons, but another reason is, of course, because of the condition itself – anxiety or depression.

People plagued by anxiety disorders or depression often find it extremely challenging to visit a therapist in his or her office, in-person. So the online counseling option offers a very attractive alternative for the treatment of anxiety disorders and also for other anxiety disorders such as agoraphobia and social anxiety disorder.

Whatever the style of therapy that you prefer, you need to change the underlying structure of the anxiety or depression itself.

Standard Talk Therapy can be helpful, but often it does not look at the underlying structure, the underlying process that creates your anxiety and depression.

The same can be said for medications – the medication may reduce symptoms for awhile, but medications will not change the underlying process that causes the anxiety or depression.

So, it is recommended that you find what we can call a process-centered therapy that focuses on changing the underlying process that creates the anxiety or depression.

CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is an example of a process-oriented therapy. Mindfulness Therapy, which is a system of work that I developed in the 1980’s incorporates CBT with the addition of mindfulness, and this is another very popular process-oriented therapy.

This service is available throughout the USA, UK and Europe and world-wide.

What are the advantages of talking to a psychotherapist online?

So I am often asked what the advantages of talking to a psychotherapist online rather than seeing a therapist in person. Well, the first advantage of course is the great convenience of being able to have your therapy sessions at home. You don’t have to travel to the therapists office.

So convenience is very important especially today given how busy people are. You can even arrange for therapy sessions from your office or place of work. All you need is a quiet room and internet access and you can arrange for a Skype Therapy session with a psychotherapist. So it’s very convenient for many people.

Online therapist for anxiety and depression via Skype
Talk to a Skype therapist

Also many people find it quite essential because it’s so difficult to leave home. So mothers with young children like the convenience of online therapy. It’s equally convenient for the elderly or the handicapped or if you are suffering from some form of anxiety disorder. So of course I see many people who suffer from agoraphobia and social anxiety and who find it very difficult to leave home to travel to see a therapist.

Another advantage of online psychotherapy is that it’s much more convenient for people who are traveling who are on the road or living abroad. You may find it difficult to find a local therapist to work with or you may just want to continue therapy while you’re on the road for work or even on holiday.

So that’s one area the convenience of online psychotherapy. But it’s also very convenient for people who are looking for help with depression or addiction or other difficult emotional problems where you might like the greater privacy that is offered by online psychotherapy. It Is just less intimidating for most people to be able to talk to a therapist from the comfort of your own home. The computer screen is less intimidating than seeing a therapist in person, and gives you a little more privacy.

So that’s one additional advantage of talking to a therapist online. Greater privacy and greater comfort level for you is very important because successful psychotherapy really depends on you feeling comfortable as you’re working on very difficult and sensitive areas of your life and your emotional well-being. So you don’t want to feel put on the spot. You want to be able to feel comfortable with working with your anxiety or depression or addiction. So that’s another area of of advantage for seeing therapists online.

Online therapist for anxiety and depression via Skype
Skype therapy for anxiety and depression

There are many other reasons why people like online psychotherapy. Another advantage is the greater range of choice available online. This means you can select the right kind of person to work with.

Another advantage is that you are able to take your time and browse for the right style of psychotherapy that resonates with you. So many people are now actively seeking either cognitive-behavioral therapy online or Mindfulness Therapy. I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy because I find it to be the most effective approach for working with emotional suffering.

But there aren’t many mindfulness therapists offering traditional office-based services, partly because this is a relatively new area and also because there are not so many places where you can get training and mindfulness-based therapies. I not only offer Mindfulness therapy but also train therapists in how to apply mindfulness in their practice.

So if you’re actively looking for Mindfulness Therapy then you should definitely contact me and tell me more about how I can help you. And then we can schedule a session. All sessions are based on satisfaction. If it doesn’t feel right for you there’s no obligation and you can cancel at any time.

Most of my clients really enjoy online therapy and they greatly enjoy the mindfulness-based approach which is far less clinical in nature than traditional talk therapy. And of course we do not recommend medications for treating anxiety disorders or depression. We instead focus on changing the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression or addiction. So if you’d like to learn more please send me an email. Thank you.

Skype Therapist using Mindfulness Therapy

A Skype therapist can help you learn how to manage your anxiety and depression and without you having to leave home. I see people throughout the US and UK (I am British, now living in Colorado).

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. I offer Skype Therapy Sessions for the treatment of anxiety, for help with overcoming depression, and for recovery from addictions.

As a Skype therapist, I can work with you on a one-to-one basis at a time that’s convenient for you and also without you having to leave home. This is one of the great advantages of Skype therapy. It means that you can get the help you need without having to leave home.

If you would like to talk to a Skype therapist and learn more about this approach do please visit my website and contact me and ask any questions you may have about Skype therapy and how to start working with a Skype therapist and how this system can help you specifically.

Most of my clients are struggling with anxiety or depression; some are struggling with addiction too. Perhaps most of the individuals who choose online therapy are struggling with anxiety.

The system of psychotherapy that I offer online, which is called Mindfulness Therapy, is particularly good for helping you overcome anxiety.

Mindfulness Therapy is a way of really breaking those habitual patterns of emotional reactivity that lie at the core of our anxiety or depression. These underlying core emotions fuel our reactive thinking process and our behavioral reactivity, including addiction, and in general create tremendous problems in the quality of our life.

If you want to effectively break free from anxiety you have to learn how to change these underlying emotional habits. The emotional habits come first, not thoughts. Thoughts are the product of the emotion, just as the addictive behaviors are the product of an intense underlying emotion.

The secret is to change and heal that underlying emotion. If you take the fuel away from the reactive thinking and reactive behaviors, then those behaviors and negative thought processes will themselves change and diminish and eventually be replaced by more positive thought and behavioral habits.

It all depends on changing the underlying emotion, and that’s where Mindfulness Therapy comes in. So, rather than trying to convince you that you no reason to be anxious as may be taught in some forms of CBT, we recognize that you have these beliefs because of the underlying emotion that gives those beliefs such power.

The only effective way to change those beliefs is to change that underlying emotion, and Mindfulness Therapy does this by recognizing that the primary structure of emotion is not thoughts, it’s not beliefs, it’s not behavior; it’s imagery. It’s how you see the emotion, the beliefs and thoughts in the mind. That imagery is what holds the emotional energy together and creates an emotional charge to the thought or or belief or behavior.

So, it’s imagery that really runs emotions. Discovering the structure of the imagery beneath your emotions is absolutely central, and that’s what we focus on when we apply mindfulness to our emotions. We look at the imagery underneath the emotion that creates that emotion. And, of course, the more you can uncover this imagery, the more that you can change the emotion.

It is very difficult to change an emotion directly because it has no particular form, it’s just an energy. But it is possible to change imagery because that does have form, it’s very concrete. And, remember, when you change the inner psychological imagery, you change the intensity of the emotion. Change that imagery enough and the anxiety or depression or addiction will go away.

So, that’s one part of Mindfulness Therapy. We call it Investigating the Image Structure of your Emotions. Mindfulness-based image reprocessing (MBIR) is immensely effective for promoting healing of emotions such as anxiety and depression. It is an excellent choice for promoting recovery from the traumatic memories that are associated with PTSD and the time to recovery is significantly faster than traditional talk therapy for most people suffering from emotional trauma.

I have also used mindfulness methods, including MBIR, for the treatment of OCD and for managing intrusive thoughts, and the results have been very encouraging.

You have to heal the root cause of your emotional suffering

Old style counseling can be beneficial, but often common talk therapy does not help you heal the underlying habits that feed your depression or anxiety.

The same can be said for medications – medications may offer a short-term relief from anxiety and depression symptoms for a while, but medications are not effective for healing the underlying process that causes the emotional pain.

The approach of psychotherapy that I teach online is known as Mindfulness Therapy, which can be very powerful for facilitating recovery from anxiety, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia, OCD, Phobias and Panic Disorder} as well as for treating non-clinical depression and other emotional-psychological difficulties resulting from habitual negative thinking.

Most of the people that I work with through Skype experience dramatic improvements after the first couple of weeks of Mindfulness Therapy with me.

Mindfulness Meditation Therapy is very effective because it works on healing the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression rather than just treating symptoms. The focus is on teaching you practical tools and techniques that you can apply yourself between sessions. This is why most people see results very much quicker than is reported for the usual “talk therapy.”

Skype therapist – see a therapist online

People choose to work with Skype therapists because it offers greater privacy for you as well as greater convenience. I teach Mindfulness Therapy, which works particularly well online via Skype.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I’m a professional psychotherapist and I offer online therapy via Skype. Many people like the idea of talking to a therapist online and there are now a growing number of Skype therapists available to choose from.

Skype is always recommended if you want to talk to a therapist online because it allows you to see your therapist as well as speak to them. It improves the communication considerably when you can see each other, and then for most purposes there’s no difference in efficiency and effectiveness between Skype Therapy and conventional therapy in the therapist’s office.

So that’s one reason we use Skype for therapy, and it’s quite secure and your privacy is maintained. Skype is a very good secure service and is probably more secure than a telephone call. So privacy is an important consideration and for many people Skype Therapy offers greater privacy because you don’t have to go to a therapist’s office. You can have your sessions from home. So that’s one reason why people are choosing Skype therapists to work with.

The particular style of psychotherapy that I offer online via Skype is called mindfulness therapy and you can learn a lot more about my approach by going to my website and watching other videos about mindfulness therapy. It’s very effective for anxiety and also depression and addictions.

The basic skills that I will be teach you during online therapy sessions is how to work with your thoughts and your emotions. This is really the most important thing. We don’t have to spend hours and hours trying to change our thoughts and our beliefs and our memories. But we do have to change the relationship that we have with our thoughts and with our emotions and with our memories.

So typically we don’t have a good relationship with our thoughts, we simply become swept away by thoughts, we become identified with them. And this is technically called Reactive Identification. And mindfulness-based psychology. So reactive identification is where you essentially become your thoughts. You become lost in the thought and the proliferation of thoughts that develops from that point of identification.

So learning to sit with your thoughts is very important, learning how to be with thoughts without becoming overwhelmed by them is the first goal of mindfulness therapy, and I will teach you exactly how to do this during our sessions. Basically, you will be learning how to meditate on your mind, on your thoughts, on your memories and on your emotions.

It’s by training in this way that we can develop that freedom from the control of our thoughts. We begin to re-establish balance and perspective in the mind by actually meditating on those thoughts.

This is how we train in developing balance. And that’s the most important thing, when you have that freedom in relationship to your thoughts then other possibilities begin to arise quite naturally. Better problem solving abilities, different perspectives on the situation that is causing your anxiety or depression, and so on. So it all begins when you can develop the right relationship with your mind.

So if you like to learn more and you’d like to get started with me and schedule an online therapy session via Skype, then please send me an email and we can find a time that works for you. So I see people worldwide. All you need is a good internet connection. Thank you.

Skype Therapist Available to Help You Overcome Anxiety

Are you interested in working with a Skype therapist? If so, do please visit my website and contact me. There are many Skype therapists available today, a simple search on Google will reveal a number of therapists and counselors who are available to help you work with anxiety or depression or just to find someone to talk to.

Most of these Skype therapy services are really designed to put you in touch with someone who can listen to your emotional problems and provide some useful help and advice on how to deal with your situation. And, that’s fine, but I think there is a lot more that Skype therapists can offer.
During the therapy sessions that I offer online I attempt to really teach you very specific mindfulness-based methods for working with difficult emotions. These methods allow you to essentially break those old habits reactive thinking and emotional conditioned reactions that really tend to dominate our emotional well-being.

Mindfulness teaches us how to be more aware, how to develop much more conscious connection with our minds. Typically, we operate on autopilot, we are not really aware, we are not really conscious of our thoughts and emotional reactions. The simply happen to us and this is what we attempt to change during Mindfulness Therapy, which I offer online via Skype.

So, if you are interested in Mindfulness Therapy and working with a Skype Therapist, do please visit my website and contact me and I will be happy to answer your questions and explain to you in more detail how Mindfulness Therapy can help you. Then we can schedule a Skype Therapy Session and I will then guide you through this process and teach you practical, effective ways of working with anxiety or depression, or addictions as well.

Addictions are a classic example of a compulsive-habitual reaction that operates out of awareness. We are not aware of the actual process; we simply suffer the consequences. It’s an emotional habit, and this habit, like any other habit; the habit of anxiety, the habit of depression, can be changed.

When you bring more conscious awareness to these habits then it is possible to change them. It is possible to break free of their grip, and this is an essential focus in Mindfulness Therapy.

So, please go to my website, learn more about Mindfulness Therapy and and Skype and when you feel ready, contact me and we can schedule a Skype Therapy Session. Thank you.

Skype Therapists for Help with Anxiety & Depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional Skype Therapist. I offer online therapy over Skype as an alternative way of helping you overcome anxiety, depression or addictions.

Online therapy for anxiety is particularly effective, especially using the Mindfulness Therapy methods that I teach online.

So, if you are interested in working with a Skype therapist do please contact me, read more of the articles and watch more of the videos about online mindfulness therapy and then contact me when you are ready and we can schedule a Skype therapy session. The first session is always a trial session, which means there is no payment due unless you are completely satisfied with the session and see the results that you are looking for.

Most of my clients do see incredible good results with Mindfulness Therapy and this is because Mindfulness Therapy works by helping you change the underlying process that causes your anxiety or depression. It basically helps you break free from those long-established emotional habits.

And that’s what anxiety and depression is, primarily, emotional habits. These emotional habits get established quite early on in childhood and they tend to operate outside of our conscious awareness, so they gather momentum over the years and become more and more entrenched.

But, the important thing to understand with any kind of habits, including emotional habits is that they thrive on the absence of conscious awareness. The moment you bring conscious awareness to a habit then you take away the power of that habit and it will begin to change very quickly.

In Mindfulness Therapy we do just that, we focus a tremendous amount of conscious awareness directly on the emotional habits, and in this process you begin to reduce the intensity of the anxiety or depression and we begin to essentially break down its structure so that it ceases to have such power over you.

The power of mindful consciousness is quite remarkable and it’s quite different than the usual level of awareness that we are familiar with. Mindfulness-consciousness is really a form of being present with your experience without any form of reactivity, without identifying with your emotions, without becoming lost in your thoughts, without becoming a slave to the contents of your mind.

Through mindful-consciousness we are able to regain control of our minds, in effect and eliminate the habitual reactivity that feeds anxiety and depression.

Most people see tremendous improvements after as few as 2-3 sessions of Mindfulness Therapy. Even after the first trial session you are likely to experience quite significant improvements.

So, if you are interested in talking with me further about this, do please go to my website and contact me directly via email and then we can schedule a trial Skype therapy session to help you. So, I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!

Standard talk therapy can be a great help, but what most people find is that talking about your feelings does not transform the cognitive reactivity that create your emotional suffering.

The same can be said for prescription meds. – drugs may offer a temporary relief from anxiety and depression symptoms for a while, but medications are not effective for healing the underlying psychological habit that causes the anxiety or depression.

Go to my website and contact me to learn more about this Skype-based therapy service and to schedule an online therapy session with me.

Skype Therapist for Managing Anxiety & Depression without drugs

Welcome. Have you considered looking for a Skype therapist to help you overcome your anxiety or depression or addiction or other emotional problems? Today, Skype therapists are much more readily available than they used to be even a few years back and this is because people like the convenience of talking to a therapist over Skype. And if you’re living in a rural area or if you are living abroad then it is a tremendous advantage to be able to talk to an English speaking therapist like myself over Skype.

I also see many clients suffering from agoraphobia, who find it quite impossible to travel away from home to see a psychotherapist. If you are suffering from agoraphobia then you should look into online therapy.

There’s also plenty of evidence showing that Skype therapy is just as effective as therapy in person. All that’s required is that you have a good relationship with your therapist and that the style of therapy being taught is appropriate for your needs. Using Skype is important as it makes communication more effective. Basically, if you can see each other then Skype therapy is just as effective as meeting in person. From my experience it can be more effective because the sessions are more comfortable and less clinical in nature. So I find that clients see progress faster than with in-person counseling.

So, I offer mindfulness therapy over Skype. This is similar to CBT but it is more effective for working with difficult emotions such as anxiety and depression, because it works at the emotional level rather than just the cognitive level.

If you would like to learn more about working with a Skype therapist, do please go to my website and email me to ask any questions you have about working with Skype therapists. And when you feel ready we can schedule a trial Skype therapy session.

This approach is very effective and you can expect to see significant improvements after the first three or four sessions. Mindfulness therapy that I teach is very effective indeed for anxiety and also for depression and it does not require the use of medications.

So if you want to learn more about working with the Skype therapist, then do please go to my website and then email me to schedule a trial Skype therapy session. Thank you.

Conventional counseling may be helpful, but what most people find is that common talk therapy does not help you heal the reactive psychological habits that create your anxiety and depression. My clients tell me that simply talking about their feelings is not enough. Most have already tried that approach.

This also applies to the use of prescription medications – prescription medications may offer a short-term relief from anxiety and depression symptoms for a while, but medications are not effective for healing the underlying psychological process that produces your emotional pain.

The kind of psychotherapy that I prefer is called Mindfulness Meditation Therapy, which is quite successful for healing anxiety disorders as well as for treating non-clinical depression or other common psychological issues caused by conditioned negative thinking. Most of the people that I work with report very real improvements after the first couple of sessions of online therapy with me.

Go to my website and contact me to discover more about this online psychotherapy service and to arrange for a Skype therapy session with me.

This online therapy service is available world-wide, including the USA, UK and Europe. All you need is an internet connection and you are ready to start Skype therapy with me.

Skype Therapists – Talk to a Therapist via Skype

Find a Skype Therapist for Anxiety, Depression or for help with an Addiction – Available throughout USA, UK, Europe, Australia and Middle East.

Welcome. If you are interested in working with a Skype therapist then you have come to the right site. I offer online therapy over Skype to help people work with anxiety, depression or addictions.

I find that Skype therapy is very, very effective indeed, especially for those conditions that I have just mentioned. Really, during Skype therapy sessions you will be learning techniques that will help you better manage your emotions and I will teach you how to break free from those emotional habits that create the anxiety or depression, or addiction.

The central process that we use for doing this is to develop what is called a mindfulness-based relationship with your emotions.

Our habit, of course, is to avoid our emotions, especially id they are painful emotions, but avoidance is not going to help the healing process. It is absolutely essential that you bring conscious awareness to your emotions. Emotions REQUIRE that state of conscious presence that we call mindfulness in order to change, transform and heal.

So, it’s by bringing mindfulness to your anxiety or your depression or your compulsion that we can begin to effect a change. We essentially learn how to meditate on our emotions. This is the key to the system of psychotherapy that I teach, which is called Mindfulness Therapy.

So, you will be learning how to sit with your emotions and develop this all-important mindful-based consciousness. When you can hold your emotions in that place of consciousness, without becoming overwhelmed by your emotions, and without becoming reactive toward your emotions then the emotions begin to heal.

Mindfulness actually promotes this natural healing process in which the energetic emotional state of the emotion will begin to become malleable and will begin to change itself into a more stable energetic structure.

We can actually help this process, not only by creating the mindfulness-based relationship with our emotions, but by actually investigating the structure of our emotions in more detail. And this means, specifically, looking at the emotional imagery – how you see the emotion in the mind is a primary factor that determines the intensity of the anxiety, depression or compulsion.

It’s the imagery that really governs the emotions. When we can uncover this imagery then we can investigate changing the imagery in a way that reduces the emotional intensity of the anxiety-producing thoughts or depression or the compulsion, itself. We can actually change the intensity by changing the imagery.

So, this is another really interesting part of the mindfulness system that I teach online, and that I will be teaching you during our online therapy sessions.

So, if you would be interested in working on your anxiety, depression or addiction, or other emotional problems, do please CONTACT ME. Go to my online therapy website and read more of the articles and watch more of the videos about Mindfulness Therapy and about seeing a Skype therapist for help with emotional issues, and when you feel ready you can contact me and we can schedule a trial Skype therapy session.

You will be quite surprised at how effective the online mindfulness therapy approach is. I will predict that you will see dramatic changes after that first session. The reason is simple. It is because we are focusing on changing the actual underlying process that causes your anxiety, depression, or other emotional problems.

This approach of changing the underlying cause is very much more effective than just talking about your emotions as is the case with most forms of traditional counseling, or from trying to reduce symptoms through the use of medications.

Conventional talk therapy and medications may reduce symptoms, but only on a temporary basis because they do not change the underlying process, the underlying cause of the anxiety, depression or compulsion.

CONTACT ME to schedule an online therapy session.

Conventional talk therapy may be useful, but often talking about your feelings does not help you recover from the cognitive reactivity that create your depression or anxiety.

This also applies to the use of prescription medications – drugs may provide a temporary relief from anxiety and depression symptoms for a while, but medications can not change the underlying cause that produces your emotional pain.

Therapists you can Skype for Help with Anxiety & Depression

There are now a growing number of therapists you can Skype. Therapists are often turning to online therapy as a way of improving their service. I mean obviously it’s very convenient if you’re moving or traveling abroad or living abroad. Then you can continue your therapy sessions in your new location. The other advantage of seeing as a therapist via Skype is if you are homebound or find it difficult to leave home. And this of course covers people who are suffering from agoraphobia and other anxiety disorders.

online therapy via Skype for anxiety and depression
Online counseling therapy via Skype for recovery from anxiety and depression

So being able to see a therapist from home is very convenient and allows you to continue getting the help that you need for effective recovery. We use Skype simply because it allows you to see each other and if you can see each other in real time then the quality of communication is just as effective as it would be seeing a therapist in person. This is the case for the vast majority of people.

Really you only need to see a therapist in person if you are seeking some form of medical treatment and you need a prescription medication or whatever. Most people don’t really benefit very much from prescription medications. What they really are looking for are more effective ways of managing their emotions.

So if you’re struggling from anxiety you want to learn how to manage your anxiety more effectively. If you are struggling with depression it is the same. You want to be able to learn how to manage your depression yourself.

Or if you’re struggling with an addiction, you want to learn how to heal the underlying emotions that are fueling that addiction. So that is what I specialize in doing. I teach Mindfulness Therapy which is a very practical, very focused method of teaching you how to work with your emotions more effectively.

Online therapist for anxiety and depression via Skype

The key component here is learning how to develop a different relationship with your emotions. The real problem that I see over and over again is that people tend to run away from painful emotions. If you are suffering from anxiety the tendency is to develop a fear and hatred for that anxiety and that of course will simply fuel the underlying anxiety and prevents it from healing.

With depression the tendency is to become completely overwhelmed or consumed by the emotion and the reactive rumination that accompanies depression. So we have to change the relationship that we have to our emotions and that is the primary teaching in Mindfulness Therapy and we do this by actually developing skills in meditating on our emotions.

This means simply, that we make the emotion the focus of our attention. But to see it clearly as an observer and not become reactive or identified with the emotion, not become overwhelmed or consumed by the emotion and is reactive thinking. We have to learn to see these things clearly.

It’s the seeing clearly without reacting that is the most important component of mindfulness, and it actually helps you liberate yourself from the reactive habits that create anxiety and depression. It’s the seeing of those emotions, seeing those thoughts clearly without further reaction. That’s the key. That’s the way forward.

Change your emotional imagery to heal anxiety and depression

So that’s one very important part of Mindfulness Therapy is learning to clearly see the thoughts and emotions without becoming identified and lost in those thoughts and emotions. Then we start to explore how those emotions work.

You see the patterns of reactive thinking and we begin to break free from those patterns by seeing then clearly. But the other major factor that causes emotional suffering is imagery: how you see anxiety in the mind or how you see the emotion of depression or sadness or hurt or grief or loss, or whatever it might be. How you see those emotions in the mind is really what causes the emotion to persist.

So we have to look at its imagery. You have to look at the imagery of your anxiety or depression and then help that imagery change and heal. So the primary problem is that the emotional imagery becomes stuck in the mind. It stops healing, it stops changing in a direction that leads towards healing. So we have to see that imagery and then help it change by developing a conscious and compassionate relationship with the emotional imagery.

When you change the imagery of your emotions the emotions begin to heal. So that’s a very big part of Mindfulness Therapy as well as developing the basic conscious relationship with your emotions where you remain as the observer and don’t become caught up in the content.

You need to change the underlying causes

I can give you some information from the clients that I’ve worked with over the years. Almost all of them have already tried conventional counseling and found that it’s not really getting to the root of the problem. Almost all of my clients have already tried medications and also found that it’s not really changing anything. Medications have a very limited usefulness for treating anxiety or depression. They simply mask the symptoms and that’s not really sufficient.

You have to change the underlying psychological process that creates your anxiety and depression, and that’s what I teach during our online Skype Therapy sessions. So please contact me if you would like to learn more.
