Perez joined the Joint Economic Development Group (EDG) and Inter-Agency Committee on Inflation and Market Outlook (IA-IMO) Meeting presided by Special Assistant to the President for Investments and Economic Affairs (SAPIEA) Secretary Frederick D. Go on 18 December 2024 at Bangko Central ng Pilipinas (BSP) Complex, Manila. This meeting discussed crucial economic concerns including measures to address food and non-food inflation, review of the downstream oil deregulation act of 1998, updates on Project DOLE Action Plan and Transition (DAPAT). 27 December 2024 | The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), led by Director General Secretary Ernesto V. Perez, joined forces with the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and Globe Telecom in a strategic session aimed at enhancing infrastructure and connectivity initiatives in the Philippines. The session took place on 19 December 2024 at W City Center, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The meeting centered on the implementation of Memorandum Order (MO) No. 2024-18, which provides guidelines for the construction and energization of distribution lines and equipment for Passive Telecommunications Tower Infrastructure (PTTI). This initiative aligns with the whole-of-government approach supported by President Ferdinand R. 11 December 2024 | The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) continues to champion regulatory reform on the international stage, actively participating in the ASEAN-OECD Good Regulatory Practices Network (GRPN) Bureau Meeting and a bilateral meeting with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) held on 27 November 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia. ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez and Better Regulations Director Marbida L. Marbida represented the Philippines in these key engagements, which brought together senior officials from ASEAN Member States (AMS) and OECD Member Economies to discuss strategic priorities and opportunities for collaboration on good regulatory practices in the following years. Perez graced the launching ceremony of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Chief Information Officers (CIO) Council at the Rizal Park Hotel in Ermita, Manila on 04 December 2024. To simplify the implementation of DICT’s strategies and programs, the CIO Council will be tasked with planning, developing, and promoting the National Information and Communications Technology Development Agenda (NICTDA) with the focus on fostering a coordinated and seamless collaborations in the name of digital transformation.
