Biometix and BixeLab would like to congratulate Arise Consulting, Isabella Davis, Jordyne Rauter, Taila Foster Wright,Indiana Grace and Eliza Saunderson-Tye, on their efforts in competing in the ACT Government Office of International Engagement Prize, progressing as our top team awarding them as the Client Winner for Biometix and achieving the First Runner-Up Award in an ANU competition of over 270 students. We have immensely enjoyed being a part of this The Australian National University competition and found valuable insights and perspectives from all teams that worked on our product #BxAssure. We are especially thankful to Vinh Lu and his teaching team, Alexander Tietge, Simon Bewick and Daniel Muller for their dedication and commitment which facilitated competing teams to achieve high standing results. Following presentations from our leading teams, we are excited to investigate relevant data for our future international ventures, which can only be attributed to the extensive work and commitments made by our teams throughout their Export Business Plan competition. 

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting a dynamic workshop over in the RMIT Green Brain space with industry leaders, focusing on collaboration and innovation within the cyber security sector. Our discussions centred around enhancing research and teaching activities with industry to achieve mutual beneficial outputs and advancements. A big thank you to our industry panel, Ted Dunstone from Biometix, Nathan Goss from Eratos, James Broberg from StreamShark and Vaughan Shanks from Cydarm Technologies and RMIT speakers Amy Beth Corman,Hai Dong, and Gerard (Gerry) Roe for their valuable insights and contributions. Biometix had the great opportunity recently to attend the 2024 ID Match Forum in Sydney and in turn appreciate the valuable insights offered from the public sector. We were pleased to see moves towards greater regulation and compliance in Australia through programs such as the National Strategy for Identity Resilience and the Credential Protection Register, that will help make Australians as well as their online and off-line identities more secure. For example, the Credential Protection Register will allow Australians to manage access to their identity documents and receive notifications on verification attempts from their own devices. Biometix adds face analysis based on draft standard to biometric assessment toolbox #biometrics #standards

We're happy to announce that Biometix is launching our new face analysis engine on BQAT, built upon the OFIQ algorithm 🚀 OFIQ (https://lnkd.in/gZfDmARt), the reference implementation for ISO/IEC 29794-5, is designed for assessing quality aspects of facial images. While the OFIQ framework is in its early stages, it marks a new step towards the standardisation of face image quality assessments.
