Congratulations to Acted Philippines, led by Country Director Ginny Haythornthwaite, for winning the grand award in the 3rd Le Trophée Bleu Sustainability Business Awards of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines! The ACTED initiative in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BARMM) fosters peace-building and solidarity by promoting collaboration between local communities, regional authorities and government agencies. Roundtable discussions and rapid response mechanisms led to immediate-impact solutions for novel events, compared against the usual, larger planned interventions. These resulted to successful identification of peace and security challenges in the sensitive area, as well as the active participation of the LGU to further address the concerns regarding peace-building.
