|Meet Yourself. Shaxi Ancient Town, Dali, a place with real wind. It is not as bustling as Dali Ancient Town, nor as crowded as Xizhou Ancient Town. However, this quiet and simple village town, where accommodation is always fully booked, makes me linger. 🚶‍♂️‍➡️Shaxi Ancient Town Travel Route: Yujin Bridge → Sifang Street Stage → Grandma A Rui's Shop → Xingjiao Temple → Sideng Street → Beiguzong Lane → Pioneer Bookstore 🖼️About the Scenic Spots: ✅Yujin Bridge You can see the morning mist and sunset. The morning mist is around 07:40 (it is recommended to see the morning mist on a sunny day, which is more beautiful); the sunset is around 17:30-18:00. ✅Sifang Street Stage This ancient stage is a landmark building in Shaxi. There is also Grandma A Rui's Shop and Youli Grocery Store nearby, where you can take photos. ✅Xingjiao Temple Xingjiao Temple is opposite the ancient stage. It was built in 1415 and is a Ming Dynasty building with three courtyards. It is the only surviving ancient market on the ancient Tea Horse Road in Yunnan and Tibet. It is open from 9:00 to 17:00. ✅Beiguzong Lane There is a persimmon tree in the courtyard of this lane. The whole lane is very quiet, with few tourists, and is very comfortable. ✅Sideng Street The only surviving market on the ancient Tea Horse Road. There are many literary shops and food stores on this street. The word "Shaxi" was also taken here. ✅Pioneer Bookstore The bookstore is 2 km away from Shaxi Ancient Town. If you don't drive, you can take a yellow bike on the roadside, which takes about 8 minutes. It is about 130 km away from Dali City, with no direct bus, and the transportation is inconvenient. Because it is far from the city and has a small flow of people, it is full of fireworks. 🚗Self-driving: It takes about 2 hours from Dali to Shaxi Ancient Town and about 1.5 hours from Lijiang to Shaxi Ancient Town. 🚗Carpooling: Available in Dali and Lijiang, about CNY 80 per person for a one-way trip. 🚌Bus: Take a bus from Dali Bus Station to Shaxi, CNY 42 per person, 3 hours.
