#ePayments #CAREC #DigitalInfrastructure #AsianDevelopmentBank #Trade #PortCompetitivesness Country Digital Ecosystem Diagnostic Report Validation Workshop organized by SDPI and Asian Development Bank ( ADB) on 29 April 2024, highlights the importance of upgrading Pakistan’s digital infrastructure and enhancing digital governance, the two strategic measures which are likely to increase the competitiveness of Pakistan’s border land ports in the CAREC region, developed under the ADB’s CAREC-RIBS Project. In parallel, Pakistan needs to engage the other CAREC signatories through the CAREC Secretariat for developing a matching infrastructure for electronic payment of Customs duties and taxes for cross-border trade and related e-Commerce.
