Job Title: Java Backend Engineer Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our nearly complete backend system, ensuring its reliability, and implementing new features. Your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and our tech stack will help drive our platform forward. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework. Strong experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases. Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and best practices. Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka) and stream processing (Kafka Streams). Additional Skills: Familiarity with Milvus or similar vector database technologies. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs. Experience with Git. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills. Preferred Qualifications Technical Proficiency: Experience with Node.js and Golang. Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience. Job Title: IT Support Engineer (Servers & User Support) Department: Information Technology Reports To: IT Manager Location: 100% Remote / All Cities, USA Employment Type: Part-time / Full-time Overview: We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide front-line technical support to business users, responsible for monitoring server performance, and responding to alerts. This role is essential in delivering timely resolutions to user issues while maintaining a high standard of customer service and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: User Technical Support: -Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking IT assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system. -Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues within the scope of Level 1 support. -Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or specialized teams as required. -Provide clear and concise instructions to users experiencing technical issues. -Assist with password resets, account unlocks, and user profile configurations. -Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring user satisfaction with every interaction. -Systems Maintenance, Server Monitoring, and Incident Response: -Perform regular server maintenance, including firmware updates, OS patches, and security updates. -Investigate and diagnose issues identified by server alerts. -Monitor the health and performance of servers (physical, virtual, and cloud-based). -Respond to system-generated alerts in a timely manner. -Maintain backups, and perform regular server maintenance tasks. -Monitor backup processes to ensure successful completion and troubleshoot failed backups. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Total relative experience: 1 to 3 years Technical Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate in English with users. Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Experience with ticketing systems and remote desktop tools. Understanding of Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, and networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
