French Tech Warsaw is proud to participate for the third time to the 10th European Congress of Local Governments – the most significant event bringing together local government leaders, regional elites, and representatives from business, academia, NGOs, and the media. The Congress will take place at the Gołębiewski Hotel Congress Center in Mikołajki, featuring over 200 events, including panel discussions, workshops, lectures, and presentations. Key topics will include the future of decentralization, regional development, urban planning, investment financing, environmental protection, healthcare policies, and the role of local governments in a rapidly changing world. This prestigious event serves as a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, fostering collaboration, and addressing the challenges and opportunities facing Europe today. What an amazing experience for our tech community! 🚀 We had the chance to be part of key economic bilateral sessions held in Warsaw ahead of the #Commerce and #Industry ministers' meeting, organized under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It was all about meaningful connections and inspiring discussions! 🤝 From insightful talks at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology between Laurent Saint-Martin and Michal Baranowski, to an eye-opening visit at Airbus Poland S.A. where Laurent Saint-Martin met with Francisco Javier Medina Guijo and Paul Felice, the discussions were truly engaging. ✈️ And to top it all off, we gathered at the French Embassy in Poland 🇫🇷 with Yvane BOCCHI-WIRMAN from Business France Poland, alongside Laurent Saint-Martin, Marc Ferracci, and the incredible #TeamFranceExport crew—#TFE, CCI France Pologne / Francusko-Polska Izba Gospodarcza (CCIFP), French Foreign Trade Advisors. 🚀 ChapsVision is making big moves in AI and Big Data. Since launching in 2019, this French startup has grown rapidly, securing €85M in fresh funding and acquiring 27 companies along the way. Now, it’s setting its sights on a European IPO—and unlike many tech companies, it has no plans to go public in the U.S. At the center of it all is Olivier Dellenbach, a serial entrepreneur who previously sold eFront for €1.3B. With Chapsvision, he’s building a European alternative to U.S. giants like Palantir—a comparison he actually finds flattering. The company already has 1,000 employees, over 600 enterprise clients (including LVMH and Unilever), and is forecasting €200M in revenue for 2024. It’s also profitable, with a 20% EBITDA margin—a rarity in the AI space. Chapsvision isn’t just about business—it’s also playing a key role in cybersecurity and defense, working with government agencies and even providing AI-powered video surveillance for the 2024 Olympics. That, of course, comes with its own challenges, as public concerns around privacy and surveillance continue to grow. With an ambitious plan to grow 50% next year, Chapsvision is proving that Europe can compete with the biggest names in AI and data intelligence. The COVID era wasn’t easy for anyone, but it sparked a wave of innovation. One standout result? Pathway —a revolutionary platform for building reactive applications that process real-time data. Back in 2020, Zuzanna Stamirowska was finishing her PhD on forecasting in 🚢 maritime trade when she noticed a big challenge: digital transformation in the industry was lagging, largely due to the lack of machine learning applied to streaming data. The pandemic only made this problem worse, as supply chains needed advanced tools to distinguish between “normal,” “anomalies,” and the “new normal.” Without the ability to process and interpret data in real time, companies faced serious setbacks in analytics and decision-making. 📈 Pathway was born to solve this. It enables developers to write batch-processing logic but deploy it for streaming data, making it a game-changer for businesses managing dynamic, multi-source data. From anomaly detection to real-time forecasting, Pathway helps companies adapt to unexpected disruptions, like the pandemic or the Suez Canal blockage. And this is just the start!
