Did you know that Efacec has an internal firefighter team? 🚒 Yes, that’s true! Since 2018, Cláudia Macieira has led the company’s private firefighting team, which includes colleagues like Dalila, Luís, David and Orlando, who balance their regular roles at Efacec with the training and responsibilities of firefighting, making a real difference both at work and in the community. The team responds to a range of emergencies, from small spills to more serious incidents, and are always prepared to act, ensuring the safety of all of us. With the motto "A life for a life," their commitment to protecting others reflects the true spirit of volunteer service. Though the team’s role is unique, it is part of a long tradition of Efacec employees serving the community in different ways since 1970. By supporting each other both in the workplace and during emergencies, they create a safer environment for everyone. A powerful reminder of the impact we can all have beyond our day-to-day jobs 💪 Read all about it here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gkk2fnKZ 📷 Pedro Correia | Jornal de Notícias

After the substation along the Swannanoa River, in North Carolina, was severely damaged by hurricane Helene, a quick and reliable solution was needed to keep the community powered. #Efacec provided a 200,000-pound mobile substation to Duke Energy Corporation, ensuring nearly 7,000 people from Asheville’s Biltmore Village stay connected as the full rebuild takes place. The mobile substation, custom-designed for such critical situations, is now fully operational and delivering uninterrupted power to the area. We are proud to support communities through our solutions in times of need be a part of the effort to restore essential services as quickly and safely as possible. 🎥 Watch Duke Energy’s video as our mobile substation powers the region while the damaged substation awaits its full rebuild. #mobilesubstations #transformers #empoweringthefuture
The substation along Swannanoa River - which powers the Biltmore Village area in Asheville, N.C. - suffered substantial damages caused by #Helene. The damage is so severe that the station cannot be repaired – it must be completely torn down and rebuilt. While crews plan the rebuild, a 200,000-pound mobile substation will serve as a temporary solution, serving nearly 7,000 customers in the area. State agencies have helped navigate logistical challenges, including inspecting bridges in the Asheville area to support moving the mobile substation into place. 🎥A Duke Energy mobile substation and damage footage of the existing substation in Asheville, N.C. that will need to be rebuilt.
