Gum Rosin - Project Management and R&D, S.A. announces a €6 million investment in a new natural resin production facility in Portugal and plans to expand in South America. Gum Rosin, a company in the Pine Chemicals sector, is announcing a significant €6 million investment in constructing a new facility in Portugal dedicated to producing natural resins. This new unit will meet the growing demand for natural raw materials, particularly for producing adhesives, sealants, and rubber composites for the food industry, packaging, cosmetics, and intelligent textiles sectors. This project addresses a key technological development challenge within the Portuguese industry. It aims to drive the Pine Chemicals sector forward by creating new materials of natural and biological origin. The initiative reaffirms Gum Rosin's commitment to innovation and sustainability, responding to the increasing market demand for more eco-friendly and high-performance solutions. "This investment marks an important step in our development and sustainability strategy. The new facility in Portugal will be a milestone in our ability to meet the strong demand for natural and biological products across various industrial sectors," said Firmino António Rocha, CEO of Gum Rosin - Project Management and R&D, S.A. In addition to the investment in Portugal, the company is announcing plans for a second industrial unit in South America. The unit will serve the American market and keep up with the ongoing growth in demand for sustainable raw materials in the region.
