On National Equal Pay Day, November 14, the Commission for Equality in Labor and Employment (CITE) honoured KEMI - Pine Rosins Portugal, S.A. with the "Equal Pay Seal" for 2024. This recognition highlights companies that promote pay equality between women and men for equal or equivalent work. According to Eurostat data, the gender pay gap in Portugal has decreased from 16% in 2015 to 11.9% in 2021. However, when bonuses and regular allowances are included, the disparity can reach 16%. CITE awards the "Equal Pay Seal" based on pay balance reports that companies submit in the Single Report, spotlighting those that demonstrate a pay inequality rate between women and men of 1% to -1%. This recognition reinforces KEMI - Pine Rosins Portugal, S.A.'s commitment to gender equality and eliminating pay disparities, aligning with best practices in the Portuguese labour market.
