    From December 5th to 7th, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the 6th edition of ICMarkTech in the beautiful São Miguel, Azores 🌊🌿. It was an honor to present our article, "Logistics 4.0 and Digital Supply Chain: A Systematic Review," to such an engaging and knowledgeable audience. Beyond the professional growth, what truly stood out were the amazing people I met and the warm, collaborative environment of the event. The discussions, insights, and connections made during those days were inspiring, and I will forever cherish the memories we created together. A big thank you to everyone who made this event so special! 🙏

    I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to develop and present an article, written in collaboration with my esteemed professor Ana Estima , at this year's ICMarkTech conference. This experience has been a significant milestone in my academic journey, and I am incredibly grateful for the professor's guidance, which has profoundly contributed to my growth as a researcher. A special thank you as well to my dear friend Adriana Cardoso for the invaluable companionship throughout our Master’s degree journey.     Although I was unable to attend ICMarkTech this year — much to my regret — I couldn’t have asked for better representation! With Adriana Cardoso and Inês Mesquita Montes Oliveira participating in person and Rúben Silva Pinhal joining online, the conference became a platform to showcase the exceptional research developed by my master’s and doctoral students. Their commitment and outstanding performance filled me with pride, proving once again the talent and dedication they bring to their work.     📣 Dr Danijela Stojanović, naučna saradnica u Institutu ekonomskih nauka, učestvovala je na Međunarodnoj konferenciji o marketingu i tehnologijama 2024 (ICMarkTech 2024), koja je od 05. do 07. decembra 2024. godine održana u Ponta Delgadi, San Migel, u Portugaliji, u organizaciji Univerziteta Azora. 🎤📊 Danijela Stojanović je predsedavala jednom od ukupno 26 sesija, koliko ih je održano tokom ove međunarodne konferencije. Sesija je obuhvatila inovacije u marketingu i tehnologiji, analizirajući teme kao što su motivacija potrošača u programima lojalnosti, eko-inicijative u turističkom sektoru, izazovi u maloprodaji povezani sa tehnološkim kvarovima, uticaj marketinga zasnovanog na podacima na donošenje odluka i primena veštačke inteligencije u proceni kvaliteta usluga u upravljanju odnosima sa kupcima. 📌 Tokom trodnevne konferencije predstavljeno je preko 120 naučnih i stručnih radova. Dr Danijela Stojanović bila je i koautor jednog od radova prezentovanih na ovoj konferenciji. Reč je o radu „Application of Open Innovations in Railway Transport and Their Importance for the Improvement of Railways“. U radu je analizirano kako razvoj IoT tehnologija i koncept otvorenih inovacija omogućavaju brže, racionalnije i isplativije rešavanje problema u železničkom transportu, posebno u oblasti bezbednosti saobraćaja i pametnog transporta. Pored Danijele Stojanović, koautori ovog rada su Nenad Stanisavljević, iz Infrastrukture železnice Srbije, i Dijana Stojanović, studentkinja specijalističkih studija Fakulteta organizacionih nauka Univerziteta u Beogradu.

    Doctoral Researcher Tiina Paananen presented the paper "Enhancing #Customer #Immersion in #Online #Shopping" at the ICMarkTech conference in São Miguel, Azores. The paper is co-authored with Tiina Kemppainen, Jenni Ström & Lauri Frank. The purpose of this study is to explore how customer immersion can be enhanced in online stores. Immersion means deep absorption into activity or experience, leading even to dissociation from the physical world’s existence. Immersion is a common term in gaming research, but with the development of digital technologies and online stores, it is increasingly being adopted in marketing research as well. In this study, we seek an understanding of the customer-centric perspective of immersion in online shopping using a qualitative approach. The data was collected by interviewing eight 20-29-year-old Finnish adults who had made clothing-related online purchases within the last three months. The data analysis was conducted with inductive coding, which led to four main ways to enhance customer online shopping immersion, with ten sub-categories; the four ways of how customer immersion can be improved in online shopping are using captivating online store characteristics, providing online store discounts, engaging online shoppers in calm physical surroundings and, lastly, stimulating online shopper’s imagination. It is interesting for companies that already exist and have well-adopted online store solutions that may enhance customer online shopping immersion, but more research is needed from different settings.
