Great news! Lankhorst Offshore has been awarded a contract by Delmar Systems to supply mooring lines to Archer Wind for their work on the Culzean Floating Wind project, offshore Aberdeen. The 3MW turbine is a pilot project by TotalEnergies, designed to produce electricity for the nearby Culzean gas platform. “We are delighted to have been awarded the mooring lines contract for this innovative floating wind energy project,” said Neil Schulz, Global Sales Director – Renewable Energy, Lankhorst Offshore. “With the introduction of Cabral 512 mooring lines and the new LankoShield cut-resistant jacket, we are demonstrating our continued commitment to the development of offshore wind energy globally.” Lankhorst Offshore, Lankhorst Ropes, WireCo, #offshorewind #windenergy #floatingwindenergy

Driving innovation and solutions at the #FERForum! Lankhorst Offshore was proud to participate in the Floating Energy Research Forum (FER), hosted by PRINCIPIA in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, France. This event brought together leaders from the floating energy sector, providing a valuable opportunity to discuss technical challenges and share experiences in #OilAndGas and #FloatingOffshoreWind projects. 👨🔬 Our contribution focused on the integrity of polyester mooring lines, building on the study we presented earlier this year. We addressed the impact of twisting on mooring lines during offshore operations, explored alternatives using materials like Nylon and HMPE, and engaged directly with operators, installers, and classification societies for constructive feedback. 💡 This interaction reaffirmed our commitment to delivering not just synthetic ropes but also the technical expertise and solutions necessary to enhance the safety and efficiency of offshore operations. Highlights of our participation at the #MIUG (Mooring Integrity User Group): ➡️ Discussions on preventing and mitigating twisting during the installation of mooring systems. ➡️ Direct engagement with the technical community on best practices and regulatory gaps.
