Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the 2nd Edition: "Domínio Espaço na Defesa", organized by AED Cluster Portugal and the Estado-Maior-General das Forças Armadas (EMGFA), at the Academia Militar. This event, in collaboration with idD Portugal Defence, Agência Espacial Portuguesa, and NEW SPACE PORTUGAL, brought together key stakeholders to discuss the integration of space capabilities into defense strategies. Representing LusoSpace, Pimentao Joseão showcased our advancements in developing the AIS/VDES constellation and highlighted our collaboration with the Marinha Portuguesa - Página Oficial, to integrate this innovative communication system into their vessels. To conclude the event, our CEO, Ivo Yves Vieira, delivered a powerful closing statement as Vice President of AED Cluster Portugal. He emphasized the significant progress being made to foster closer cooperation between the space and defense sectors, envisioning a promising future built on collaboration and shared goals. This past week, LusoSpace had the incredible opportunity to participate in IAC2024 at the Portuguese stand with Agência Espacial Portuguesa! Held in Milan, the 75th International Astronautical Congress brought together key players from the global space industry under the theme “Responsible Space for Sustainability.” As a leading Portuguese company in space innovation, we were proud to share our latest developments and explore potential collaborations with international partners. It was an honor to be part of such an inspiring event that promotes sustainability and responsible use of space resources for future generations. At the 1st Luso-French Defence Industries Forum in Paris, our CEO, Ivo Yves Vieira, who’s also the Vice President of AED Cluster Portugal, proudly represented LusoSpace!    The event, co-organized by AED, took place on October 2nd and 3rd, bringing together over 50 companies and technology centers from both Portugal and France. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen partnerships and explore new opportunities for collaboration in the defence sector.    Ivo Yves Vieira also shared a personal connection to the event, noting that 50 years ago, his father worked on renovations at the Portuguese Embassy in Paris, making him feel especially proud to now represent Portugal in it.   This event was a great milestone, and we’re excited for more opportunities to deepen ties between the Portuguese and French defence industries in the future! #LusoSpace #AED #LusoFrenchDefenceIndustriesForum
