During the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels we have partnered with Madoqua to sign an investment contract for the MadoquaPower2X project, a cutting-edge green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Portugal. ✅ This collaboration emphasizes the crucial role green hydrogen will play in achieving a fossil-free future. Madoqua Power2X is a winner of the first ever EU Hydrogen auction under the European Hydrogen Bank. Our investment is therefore a true Team Europe effort, paving the way for project realization. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲? - Phase 1 of the project is set to reduce CO2 emissions by 450,000 tonnes annually, marking a major step toward reducing Europe's dependence on fossil fuels. With an investment of €1 million in the design phase, Invest International is helping bridge the gap for this nascent industry, where high risks and costs often prevent traditional financing from stepping in. 𝗜𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁: 🔹 Madoqua’s green hydrogen facility will be built in Sines, Portugal. 🔹The 500 MW electrolyser and ammonia production with first ammonia deliveries expected by 2029. 🔹Collaboration with Power2X & Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners highlights the power of European partnerships. 🔹This project is a major step forward in scaling renewable energy solutions.
