The afternoon session started with an intriguing keynote from Frank Zamora, Chief Information Technology Officer at ACCIONA on the topic of 'Smart Water Networks: Integrating Data, IoT and AI for Enhanced Water System Operations'. Frank expressed that intelligent network management must maximise #data value, support #sustainabledevelopment, and ensure #resilient infrastructure for future generations. He further stated, “A sustainable solution is not just environmentally friendly but adaptable, resilient, and designed with people at its centre.” Following the keynote, we had the first Live Demonstration session of the #DigitalWaterSummit, moderated by Oliver Grievson, Associate Director at AtkinsRéalis and Chair of the IWA Digital Water Programme Steering Committee. Erika V. and Malo Rotureau of Purecontrol presented how #AI can enhance #wastewater treatment through predictive methods. Next, Pedro Vieira e Moreira and Francisco Castro from NAVIA provided a comprehensive overview of their fully integrated #digitalwater platform. Later, delegates will dive into Bilbao’s culinary scene with the #Pinxto Challenge, exploring the city's best spots for these traditional bites! It’s been a packed day of #insights and cutting-edge solutions. We can’t wait to see what Day 3 brings!
