Pillbie is a smart medication dispenser with light and sound reminders to ensure timely, accurate doses. With individual compartments and cloud connectivity via WiFi or Bluetooth, it prevents mix-ups and helps users manage their medication effectively. Value for Health CoLAB (VOH.CoLAB) is a nonprofit collaborative laboratory, whose mission is to help people and organisations to measure the value in health. The founding partners - Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, CUF, Fraunhofer Portugal, and Vodafone - have centralised competencies and resources to create this CoLAB to accelerate fundamental restructuring of Healthcare delivery towards a paradigm shift to Value-based Healthcare and patient empowerment. Our experience in digital transformation and technology transfer in the health sector, our closer working collaboration with people, health organisations (private and public) and universities, enable us to characterise, model and optimize health care trajectories. For this purpose, CoLAB supports academia, healthcare providers and medtech developers in: (i) collecting clinical and patient reported outcomes, with a focus on digital data collection processes and telemonitoring; (ii) implementing clinical pilots to measure economical and social impact of innovation in Health; (iii) developing digital health literacy tools that can drive society to adopt healthier behavioural changes. By following people longitudinally, whether in a hospital environment, at home or in specialised residential care, VOH.CoLAB aims to validate innovative methodologies for measuring objectively health outcomes and costs toward new Value-based Health models.

Through 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱 we are supporting healostic, one of the participants of Patient Innovation Bootcamp 2024. Healostic is a platform born out of its founder's personal struggle with severe eczema. It combines AI-driven technology with a human touch, offering personalised care plans, real-time symptom tracking, and support from a dedicated team of dermatologists, therapists, and nutritionists. Healostic goes beyond just managing symptoms, focusing instead on the whole person, providing mental health support and fostering a community where patients no longer feel alone. Na Quarta-feira decorreu na Reitoria da Universidade Nova de Lisboa a reunião “𝗖𝗼𝗟𝗔𝗕𝘀 𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝗮ú𝗱𝗲: 𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮çã𝗼 𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮çã𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲”, promovida pelo Value for Health CoLAB no âmbito das celebrações do seu 5º aniversário e organizada por todos os Laboratórios Colaborativos do sector da Saúde. Contou com a presença da Secretária de Estado da Saúde, Professora Doutora Ana Povo e perto de 130 representantes dos diversos 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠: associações de doentes, empresas, incubadoras, IPSS, hospitais e universidades. Teve como objectivo a reflexão sobre o impacto da actividade dos 8 CoLABs na Saúde em Portugal. Promover a retenção de talento e a introdução de produtos e serviços inovadores e de valor para os doentes, numa crescente partilha de conhecimento e informação entre a academia, os prestadores de cuidados e os cidadãos co-criadores, são algumas das conclusões obtidas. Um agradecimento à Senhora Secretária de Estado da Saúde pela disponibilidade, ao Professor Doutor Claudio M Soares, por uma vez mais nos receber na Reitoria, ao Dr. João Lobo Ferreira pelo excelente resumo da rede de CoLABs e ao Professor Doutor Jose Fragata pelo apoio e pelas palavras de incentivo. Last week, Value for Health CoLAB participated in the 11th International Conference on Business Servitization at Nova School of Business and Economics. Francisco von Hafe presented a study “𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗼-𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁: 𝗔 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄”, which dives into the socio-economic networks within the virtual sports market.
