Delighted to participate in the 71st Regional Committee for the Middle East, where an international report was presented recommending leveraging Qatar's successful experience with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. It explores the importance of sport in spreading awareness of physical and mental health at both personal and community levels. استضافت Visit Qatar حفلاً لتكريم سفير علامتها التجارية والبطل الأولمبي القطري، معتز برشم، وذلك تقديراً لإنجازه في منافسات دورة الألعاب الأولمبية باريس 2024. وقد أقيم حفل التكريم يوم الأربعاء (11 سبتمبر)، بحضور كل من سعادة السيد سعد بن علي الخرجي، رئيس قطر للسياحة ورئيس مجلس إدارة Visit Qatar والمهندس عبد العزيز علي المولوي، الرئيس التنفيذي لـ Visit Qatar.   وكان معتز برشم قد حقق الميدالية الأولى لدولة قطر في منافسات دورة الألعاب الأولمبية باريس 2024 بعد فوزه بالميدالية البرونزية في الوثب العالي للرجال. وبصفته سفيراً للعلامة التجارية، فقد شارك برشم في العديد من الحملات الترويجية مثل مهرجان قطر للتسوق وحملة Visit Qatar للتوقف المؤقت في قطر. وخلال الحفل التكريمي، وقَّعت Visit Qatar مذكرة تفاهم مع البطل العالمي برشم من أجل تمديد شراكتهما لعام آخر. وبموجب مذكرة التفاهم سوف يواصل برشم تعاونه مع Visit Qatar كسفير للعلامة التجارية، وذلك من خلال الظهور في فعاليات Visit Qatar والتعاون عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي ودعم الجهود الترويجية لقطر في جميع أنحاء العالم. #قطر_للسياحة - Visit Qatar hosted an honorary event for its brand ambassador, Mutaz Barshim, for his achievements at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The special event took place on September 11, under the presence of His Excellency, Mr. Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Chair of Board of Directors of Visit Qatar and Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar. Mutaz Barshim secured the first medal for Qatar at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 by winning the bronze medal in Men’s High Jump. As a brand ambassador, he has been featured in several key campaigns, including Shop Qatar and Visit Qatar's stopover campaign. During the honorary event, Visit Qatar and world champion Mutaz Barshim signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) extending their partnership for another year. The MOU outlines Barshim’s collaboration with Visit Qatar as a brand ambassador, including appearances at Visit Qatar events, collaborations on social media, and ongoing efforts to promote Qatar worldwide. #QatarTourism #VisitQatar

My feelings of pride today are beyond words I had the honor of raising my country’s flag in four Olympic Games, earning four medals: Today’s victory makes me the most decorated high jumper in Olympic history, with four medals in four different Olympic Games back-to-back: two silvers, one gold, and one bronze I’m thankful for all the support from my country, Qatar, my family, my supporters worldwide, and my team, who have stood by me for more than 13 years of local and international competitions With this Olympic Games, I conclude my Olympic journey, and I am truly happy to have stood on the podium in all my participations 🏅.
