The announcement comes ahead of FIFA’s official decision to award the FIFA World Cup™️ hosts for 2030 and 2034 on 11th December. #GrowingTogether

The Saudi Arabian Under-20 Women’s national team prepares to make its debut in the new West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) U-20 Women’s Championship. Set to take place in #Jordan starting from 28 November, the championship will feature women’s national U-20 sides from #Palestine, #Jordan, #Lebanon, #Syria and #SaudiArabia. Head Coach Pauline Hamill’s side will face #Palestine in their opening match in Aqaba to open the tournament. After the recent camp in #Jeddah in October, the upcoming tournament serves as a fitting conclusion to the U-20 side’s first year since the formation of the team within the Women’s National Team programme in December 2023. As the first competitive tournament for Hamill’s squad, the U-20 WAFF Women’s Championship provides a platform for the women's national team programme to prepare for the upcoming qualification matches for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Asian Cup in 2026.

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) was delighted to host a delegation from the German Football Association (DFB) in #Riyadh on November 21-22. The visit provided a very important opportunity to deepen engagement and share insights on SAFF’s development initiatives. As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Saudi Arabia FIFA World Cup™️ 2034 bid exhibition where they got an inside look of our bid to host the first-ever 48-team FIFA World Cup™️ in a single host nation. The DFB delegation also met with key figures across Saudi football, including Hammad Albalawi, Head of the Saudi Arabia FIFA World Cup™️ 2034 bid unit; Majed Al Sahib, SAFF Deputy General Secretary; and Omar Mugharbel, CEO of the Saudi Pro League (SPL) alongside senior members of the league. The visit was further enriched by attendance at two matches: the Women’s Premier League clash between نادي الهلال السعودي - Al-Hilal Saudi Club and Al-Qadsiah Saudi Club نادي القادسية السعودي, and SPL match between نادي النصر السعودي - ALNASSR Saudi Club and Al-Qadsiah Saudi Club نادي القادسية السعودي. This trip underscores the solid cooperation between SAFF and DFB, paving the way for future football development initiatives. Our U-20 National Team secured a 2-1 victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo in a preparatory match held on Saturday evening in #Jeddah, as part of their training camp for the 2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-20 Cup in #China. Under the leadership of coach Marcos Soares, the team delivered a strong performance against a well-regarded opponent in youth football. The squad will continue their preparations with another match against #DRCongo on Tuesday. The U-20's are in Group B in the 2025 AFC U-20 Cup, alongside #Iraq, #Jordan, and #DPRKorea.
