It is great to be part of the journey of Assistive Listening and Hearing Access in the general society. Transistor has a unique approach in the market working with hearing access from the listener perspective driven to improve easiness of use and value for the end user and venue. Hearing access is to a wide extent otherwise a tick-box-exercise where little or no attention is put on the real needs and benefits for the target group. Two examples were shown and proven at this test in Oslo. Monitors for Auracast was put up at the sound system control point so that the sound technician easy could verify and adjust the signal on Auracast and one monitor in the venue making it easy for everyone to see and understand there is a live Auracast signal being broadcasted. We also brought one of the top performing Auracast transmitters to the with great results. Härom veckan besökte vi #Silviaskolan i Hässleholm som vi hjälper med assisterad lyssning/hörselteknik. Genom ett härligt driv och en genomtänkt ljudmiljö får eleverna bästa möjliga förutsättningar inför vuxenlivet. Här blir det tydligt hur bra akustik är avgörande för hörbarheten och för arbetsmiljön för elever och pedagoger. Något för alla skolor att inspireras av!

Thanks Fluxwork and SenseAid AS for great cooperation and bringing up the first real test of Bluetooth Auracast in Oslo Nye Teater. Our focus was to communicate the importance of hybrid systems (hearing loops and Auracast as a combination), the importance of monitoring the technology for sound technicians and make it easy to understand for the general public. We put up an Auracast transmitter that served with brilliant sound and also a test of the T-SIGN concept that made the technology shine during the whole performance. efhoh european federation of hard of hearing GN Group Hørselshemmedes Landsforbund

Igår hade vi äran att delta som talare på Örats dag; arrangerad av Syn-och Hörselinstruktörerna i Hägersten-Älvsjö. Vi pratade om hörseltillgänglighet och de hjälpmedel som finns för att underlätta i vardagen för personer med nedsatt hörsel som bär hörapparater. Vi är väldigt glada för möjligheten att få dela med oss av praktiska råd och lösningar som kan förbättra livskvalitén, både för de med nedsatt hörsel men även för deras anhöriga. Tack till arrangörerna och övriga talare och utställare som deltog och bidrog med sina perspektiv. Tillsammans gör vi hörselutmaningarna i Sverige lite lättare att hantera!

Motion är faktiskt en faktor som förbättrar hörandet. Vi hör inte bara med öronen utan också med hjärnan och en hjärna som mår bra har också större möjligheter att höra.

The latest bit of kit we've been fitting is an interesting one. When induction loops are fitted in areas where sensitive topics may be discussed, overspill is often a concern. A phased array layout can combat this but what about areas where the loop is pre-existing, or where phased array is simply not an option? This is where the AB Transistor T-Sign is an effective solution. The sign acts as a reminder that a hearing loop is present, but is also highlights when it is in use by lighting up. Green shows that the loop is in use and working, and red indicates that the signal is weak or that the loop is not turned on. We're always happy to help with induction loop recommendations, so if you have been asked to fit a loop as part of a tender then feel free to get in touch and we can take a look and help you out. #assistivelistening
