Creating clean electricity from waste heat - Powering a sustainable future
Om oss
Sustainable energy from Heat Power. Climeon's technology produces clean electricity 24/7 without dependency on weather conditions. Complementing wind and solar power in the world's need for clean electricity - and a cleaner planet. More than 50% of all the world's energy is lost as low temperature heat. Most of it is dumped into our oceans or into our atmosphere through chimneys of a production site. Climeon's Heat Power system generates clean electricity from low temperature waste heat and geothermal energy.

We’re pleased to share a key milestone in our project with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. All six of Climeon’s HeatPower 300 units have been delivered to HD-HHI’s shipyard in South Korea. These units will be installed on board six new dual-fuel, green methanol container ships being built for A.P. Moller - Maersk. This progress highlights Climeon’s role in advancing sustainable shipping. By capturing low-temperature #WasteHeat from engine cooling water and exhaust gas, the HeatPower 300 system boosts energy efficiency, reduces fuel consumption, and lowers #GHG emissions. This technology not only supports today’s cleaner fuels but also prepares ship operators for future energy transitions. Next year, our team will be on-site in Ulsan, Korea, to support the commissioning of the units, ensuring a smooth start-up and reliable operations for our customer. This milestone reflects Climeon’s continued commitment to supporting shipowners on their journey toward more sustainable shipping. Climeon Signs Order with NovaAlgoma for HeatPower 300 Installation on Groundbreaking Cement Carrier 🌍🚢 Climeon is proud to announce an order from NovaAlgoma Cement Carriers (NACC) for its HeatPower 300 Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) waste heat recovery system. The system will be installed as Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) on the new-build NovaAlgoma 38,000 DWT methanol dual-fuel cement carrier, under construction at Zhejiang Xingle Shipbuilding in China. This RINA-classed vessel will set a new benchmark for sustainable shipping in the cement industry. The HeatPower 300 will generate up to 300 kW of sustainable electricity on board the world’s largest cement carrier by capturing waste heat from the engine's cooling water and exhaust gases. By reclaiming energy that would otherwise be lost, the system supports NACC’s efforts to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Francesco Costagliola, Technical Director at NovaAlgoma, shared his thoughts on the collaboration: “At NACC we’re committed to setting a standard for sustainable, energy-efficient operations. Integrating Climeon’s waste heat recovery technology not only supports our sustainability goals but also provides a practical way to meet increasingly stringent environmental regulations while enhancing operational efficiency.” This partnership highlights Climeon and NACC’s shared commitment to advancing cleaner, more efficient shipping. By providing cost-effective, fuel-independent electricity, the HeatPower 300 supports the maritime sector’s shift to future-ready fuels like methanol. 🔗 Read the full announcement here: https://lnkd.in/dg8Y4BxD #SustainableShipping #HeatPower300 #MethanolFuel #MaritimeInnovation #Climeon #WasteHeatRecovery #GreenShipping #EnergyEfficiency #Decarbonization

🌍 Unlocking the Power of Geothermal with ORC Technology 🌍 As we move toward a renewable future, geothermal energy stands out for its ability to deliver clean, consistent power. Yet, this valuable resource has often been limited by high costs, geographic constraints, and misconceptions about its scalability. At Climeon, we believe Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology, like Climeon's HeatPower 300, can break down these barriers. Our latest article dives into how ORC technology has the potential to transform the geothermal landscape by: ✔️Reducing Project Costs: ORC technology allows power generation from lower-temperature geothermal sources, cutting down on drilling depth and costs. ✔️Expanding Geothermal Reach: By enabling geothermal projects beyond traditional hot spots, ORCs makes geothermal energy viable in new regions and communities. ✔️Reshaping Perceptions: ORCs show that low-temperature geothermal isn’t just feasible—it’s efficient and profitable, paving the way for broader adoption. ✔️Enhancing Sustainability: By requiring minimal infrastructure for micro plants and the ability to recover low-temperature heat to boost efficiency at flash plants, ORC technology maximizes geothermal’s environmental benefits. Together, we can make geothermal energy more accessible, sustainable, and ready to support a low-carbon future. 🌱 Read the full article to see how ORC technology is accelerating geothermal growth and opening up new possibilities: https://lnkd.in/dWT7sJiw #GeothermalEnergy #RenewableEnergy #ORCTechnology #EnergyEfficiency #ClimateSolutions #CleanEnergy #EnergyInnovation #GeothermalPower
